While the website indicated that ALL sites had power, however on arrival our friends who arrived ahead of us discovered that wasn't the case. We were moved to sites that did have power without any fuss, and I think the sites we ended up with were probably better than the original sites. The electrical points can be some distance away...

Fantastic sleepy campsite on the estuary at 1770. No permanent huts or vans. Great camp kitchen and good food at the park bistro. Sooo relaxed. The estuary is tidal and the marina is a shirt walk. The greyhound bus seems to stop hete and fhere is a goid little cafe at ghe little marner as well

Situated right near the tip of 1770 and right on the water!!! Although a water campsite will COST U !! But then again, nothing is cheap in 1770, no matter what time of year it is. We have a 21 ft van and were unable to be by the water, in off season too!! But the park is small and...

Everything you said is true.... We are...try to be.... what we were, before the 21st century found 1770 Camping Ground...not a caravan park yet !!...... before modern self contained luxury caravans found our "well kept" secret. When our road into 1770 was unpaved less than 20 years ago. Nice review.... thankyou !! We welcome all Swags/Tents/Camper vans/luxury self contained Caravans...

Nice location, camp site on the beach but very odd shapes with trees everywhere. Charged full price even though the camp kitchen is out of order. So (soo) many flies! Good shopping centers at Agnes Waters nearby.

Yes 1770 campground is in an excellent location, protected from strong south east winds. February is our "quiet' month tourist wise, and the camp kitchen is undergoing a makeover with painting, new cooking equipment and especially floors rejuvenated. Shade from trees is a necessity in Queensland's hot summer. Please visit us again. We value your business. thankyou.

We loved our stay at the 1770 Camping Ground. We'd asked for a waterfront site as our caravan is compact and that's where we had mixed feelings about the site. The waterfront sites are very, very tight. An example of this is our very compact caravan site whilst accommodating us beautifully, was encroached by the tent next door. They had...

1770 Camping Ground is exactly as the name suggests. The previous owner banned caravans from the beachfront, for all the very same reasons you put forward. 50% of the beachfront sites are too small for caravans. Campers enjoy camp fires. We welcome Caravans especially in Winter, but with limited facilities. Thank you for your kind comments and please come again.

Great caravan park, very hard to get into as very popular so book ahead but well worth it. the park is quite small but the camp sites are big enough, the most amazing sunsets as one of only 3 places in the east where the sun sets over the water.

1770 Camping Ground is a true beach side camp. No public roads to cross , just walk straight onto the beach and into the calm cool sea straight from the camp ground. Our camp site was in Row D which is 4 rows back from the beach yet still only a very short 30 - 40 metre stroll to the...

Good van park, only stayed two nights, but we loved it. Friendly staff, easy access with a van, good amenities, and the restaurant had good food for the prices. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Perfect spot for families. Although sites are tight you really don't need to spend much time at your campsite as the beach and surroundings are so beautiful. Nice facilities and friendly staff. Beautiful, still water and although we only had a quick stop over I hear there's good fishing too.

Still amazing and at this busy time of year the park filled with family holiday campers enjoying the waterfront and kicking back - stayed overnight on our pop top camper ($45) double, no booking just arrived and scored a perfect powered site opposite the beach access with a stunning view - no campers in front to block the view. Clean...

Thanks for the great review. 1770 Campground is a great family holiday destination and this time of year several generations of family campers call the campground home, and most have known each other for many years.
