Big shout out for the new Chef of Jardine. Salmon cooked to perfection; served with a lush garlic cream sauce, fresh crisp asparagus, broccoli, potato, pumpkin & coloured peppers. Delivered on a warmed 40cm square plate. Over generous servings & a perfect pairing with a crisp Margaret River Devils Lair Chardonnay. Open for business again & a deserved & unexpected...

nice place close to all parts of town and a short walk to the wharf. Room OK but a bit dated. Air conditioner a bit noisy. Staff quite friendly and helpful when asked. Not all that much to do in the area, particularly on the weekends.

These rooms cost the equivalent of a room in a big city hotel but do not come with any of the trimmings you might expect for the cost. They are clean, have a reasonable amount of clear nicely tiled floor space and have all the basics covered but not a lot more. There are great views from Thursday Island, just...

Good food, nice large rooms, friendly staff! Really happy I decided to stay here on my visit to Thursday Island. There are a few places to choose from on Thursday Island and I am really happy I stayed here as I made the right choice. Thank you for your lovely hospitality

Large room with tiled floor and very effective air conditioning. Very few staff around, though when I rang because I couldn't work out the air con someone was there very promptly. The pub food at the hotel in front ('Federal' I think) was quite good and reasonably priced.

Originally booked into the Jardine Motel I was moved here due to an overbooking error. I was pleasantly surprised as the room was large with a tiled floor. From the window there was a good partial view of the bay and islands to West. Queen size, very comfortable bed, large desk. The room had a small built in wardrobe to...

Well maintained lovely large rooms. No wifi available even though it said there was free wifi included in all records online. Was confused about dinner and breakfast options as there was no welcome book in the room. No one on site after 5pm for an issues. Was kept up all night by people partying on ther verandah my last night...

Went to Thursday Island for work for a couple of nights, was in one of the newer rooms at the back half and really enjoyed the place. The food from the pub was good, nice friendly staff and really enjoyed the trip.

“Go round the corner to the Jardine Hotel instead. It is run by the same company and offers a bit more breeze and the chance of a view at least. There is also a swimming pool to cool off in and some nice areas to relax in around the pool at the end of the day with a drink.”
  • A double room with another single bed
  • the fixtures are clean as attested!

“Try to get one of the newer rooms, they are only $15 more but much nicer with a large flat screen tv and split system aircons. Rooms numbered 100 to 300. the older rooms have Rattler Aircons and a small tube tv instead. Room numbers are below 1-30 or so are the older ones and are closer to the bar which could be noisy at times, especially the lower rooms.”
