What a disappointment this place is. Run down, desperately in need of refurbishment. Stayed Sunday and Monday night, no facilities open for food and drink. Something that constituted continental breakfast was left in fridge on the Saturday sometime and expected to be ok for Tuesday morning. Unfortunately booked moths ahead and on a road trip so could not alter our plans. Had good sized swimming pool, but that needed expert cleaning. Worst accommodation we have had during our stay in Australia.

This place has so much potential and maybe has lived up to it in the past but now it’s just tired and in need of love and attention. The units were very basic and some things needed updating, repairing, tweaking. But we paid a basic rate so why be surprised? The gardens need tidying to live up to the photos I’ve seen but the ‘bones’ are there. The bed I must say was very comfortable and we both slept really well. The shower had a good pressure and temperature which remained constant through two showers. Plenty of linen, extra towels, even two beach towels for the pool. If you’re after luxury, pay more and get it but this did the basics. Just needs some love and $$ spent.

I booked this with a loyalty program without looking at reviews. You can make photos look great with any place. This is probably one of the worst accommodation I've ever stayed. Dining room was not open during our entire 3 night stay an the place out of town. Facilities must be 20+ years old and never been touched. Everything was run down and not fixed. It rained one day and the car was flooded in and the gutter overflowed. No shower curtains, plumbing and TV remote held together by duct tape. It was like last century.

When booking in reception made a point of telling me that a $200 cleaning fee would apply if we left mud in the room. The room was already dirty! Dust and dirt under the bed, rotting wood around the cupboard, filthy fridge, mouldy bathroom with cracked sink and disgusting toilet. Shower leaked so we had to listen to running and dripping water all night. Balcony unsafe with missing lattice and wood sticking up (they need to check the laws regarding balustrades for decks). Window frames rotted, doors wouldn't close properly, blinds don't cover the windows and the room was freezing as the carpet had been ripped out. Heating was largely ineffective. Unfortunately we had to stick it out for the 2 nights booked as an event had any alternatives unavailable. Would never stay there again.

Really sad run down place. The pictures on their website and taken at night from a distance with the building lit up so you don't see how bad it is. The place needs to be burnt down and that will improve it. The bed was comfortable and seemed quite new that's all I can say that's positive. I feel sorry for the people who own it. It would be impossible to renovate at reasonable cost. They could be straight forward and charge what it is worth about half what they charge andmaybe they might get repeat business.

Goodness me what does it take to maintain the garden …roses need a good haircut and it is dry looking. Very tired. Not sure if place is on the market however it is very rundown. Tidy up the garden and if you can’t spend anything on the complex at least make it more appealing by a garden clean up. Not like the photos at all. False advertising when you get there a big shock.

As many have said, sadly, quite run down and clearly not loved any more. Seems restaurant is never open! Pool great size but needs an upgrade as well. Rooms old and ratty as was the furniture. Whole place needs some attention. Reception staff were lovely despite their sad surroundings. The supposedly lovely gardens are in need of gardeners! So sad to see it that way as it supposedly caters for weddings but the infrastructure we saw was broken and not usable for any outside wedding. Lots of overgrown plants, especially roses. Pity, as it has so much potential. Hope someone buys it and renovates it all soon. Sad.

The Good - Very friendly and helpful staff . Clean Towels and sheets , really nice breakfast tray left in room. Great location in the Barossa. The Bad - It really is pretty run down, from the rooms to the pool which all need a major facelift. The Spa is a no go . The photographs are deceiving and it’s really only a slight uplift from a backpackers Hostel. Some major investment required.

We stayed one night at a cost of $120.00 for a very outdated room and car park was very difficult to access needed to reverse in a very tight area. Room 2. The door strike plate was in extremely poor condition needed to push in screws to secure. Reception staff were not available during our stay. Bed head had fluff and dust around it. Soap is only provided in shower alcove and not in bathroom sink area very inconvenient and with COVID not satisfactory. The overall room was very outdated as photos show. Positive note room was large and staff on booking were pleasant. Would not recommend until rooms are cleaned more thoroughly and refurbished. Very disappointing.

We stayed 2 nights at Lyndoch hotel. We were informed 3 days prior to arrival that the restaurant would be closed due to wedding event which meant we had to find somewhere for evening meal. The rooms are extremely dated, ours full insects which obviously is a problem in the rooms as we founds insect spray in the bottom of wardrobe!!! The breakfast was supposedly continental, what we actually got was bread for toasting, cereal and some jam. We paid for coffee at breakfast but due to the machine supposing old the coffee was in drinkable. Due to the wedding, the noise was extremely loud and interrupted our sleep. The photos on the hotel site are misleading, there are much better places to stay than this hotel !!
