Arrived early afternoon to app 2. What a beautiful place, original floor boards and patchwork quilt on bed. Perfectly located over the road from the harbour, watched them bring in the lobster catch. A lovely stroke into robe that evening, spoilt for choice where to eat and a peaceful nights sleep in the most comfortable bed yet . Breakfast was...

Hi Lesley, thanks for your review, it was lovely to meet you. The lobster season starts at the beginning of October and is central to Robes economy. It is really interesting watching the boats come in after a day at sea. We hope to meet you again one day. Kind regards, Andrew and Sally

One night stay and quite a unique experience, in a very nice way. Arrived mid afternoon, identified we were in apartment 5, keys in the door. A lovely room, has everything you need. Breakfast items in the fridge, all very fresh. Room was spacious, spotless, light and airy. Met the owner after a short walk around Robe. Again he was...

Our host was really warm and welcoming and our room was spacious and really well furnished and equipped. The handmade patchwork quilts on the bed plus the original floorboards, pine furniture and, above all, the open fire all combined to make this a truly romantic stay and our only regret is that we could only stay one night.

Hi Penny, thanks for your review. I wish I had a dollar for every time a guest says they wish they could stay longer. Robe is definitely worth a 2 night stop over. 2 nights mean that you have a full day to explore! Sally will be pleased to hear that you enjoyed her quilts! Best wishes Andrew

Our apartment was clean, warm & as described. A good sized bedroom with a fab TV & seating area. Bathroom was fine with no issues. It was a cold night so we lit the pre-prepared log fire & bought a take away. We were left enough logs for the fire to burn all evening. Breakfast is provided in the room...

Every year we make sure we have a couple of nights away without the kids. Robe has been our destination of choice for a few cycles now - in the dead of winter, when there's nothing better to do but sit and drink wine by the fire and read. (Zombie novels are our favourite, but I'll leave that bit up...

Robe House B&B is located in Robe and is the oldest house in Robe. It was the Governor's house originally. It has been split up into about 5 apartments, each with their own patio and seating area. There is free WiFi access though I had to sit on the porch sometimes to access it. We had an apartment consisting of...

Robe House has a lot of character and history, and was adequately furnished, but having booked into a b& b we had expected more. It was really self catering, and as such was fine. The bathroom seemed recently re-furnished and the bed was comfortable. Provisions for breakfast were left in the kitchen area and were adequate. We were there in...

Thanks for taking the time to review Robe House. I am really disappointed that although I spoke with you at length during your stay you did not mention any of your comments in person. We have been running Robe House as a self contained B&B for almost 20 years now, and in all that time we have always gone to...

We drove the great ocean road and had one stop in beautiful Robe where we stayed one night. All of us agreed that we could have easily stayed longer!! We had a night at the Robe House  while travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road.   The B&B is in a sympathetically restored historic house with 3 or 4 rooms, a bigger apartment and at least one separate cottage. It is a short stroll from the town centre and the harbour.  The decoration And furnishings were...

Thanks for your review of Robe House. The building is 170 years old next year so you have stayed in a real part of Robe's history. In Australia there are 2 different types of B&B. Robe House fits into the more common self contained category, however there are also traditional B&B's to be found. We try to provide just about...
