The Brook Trout Inn is the best place to stay in the Sapphire, NC area. The location is perfect. The rooms are comfortable and the the grounds are beautiful. There is a wide variety of breakfast items including fresh baked items. The owner, Julie and her staff are very welcoming. This is the only place I'll stay on my future visits to the Sapphire area.
The Brook Trout Inn in Sapphire NC is a very nice unpretentious beautiful Inn in the the heart of the Pisgah National Forest which is a uniquely exquisite Rhododendron Forest with multiple dramatic waterfalls, rivers, streams and hiking trails in the area to enjoy. The Management at the Brook Trout Inn are knowledgeable and helpful in providing relevant information and referrals according to your interests. Our stay at the Brook Trout Inn was great! The BROOK TROUT INN Management and Staff are EXCELLENT and made our two week stay over the Thanksgiving Holiday Season a GREAT experience. They have a uniquely enjoyable stocked “make your own breakfast galley kitchen” that we throughly enjoyed during our stay. We enjoyed the opportunity of making our own breakfasts and also several light gourmet evening meals during our stay with groceries from Ingles. beautiful fireplace lounge w/ wide open window views of the surrounding Rhododendrons. Beautifully situated outdoor fireplace. Next door there is an excellent Italian Restaurant w/ a full bar. The Brook Trout Inn was a delightful Inn that we look forward to staying at again! Especially when the Rhododendrons are blooming!…
Second stay here and was even better than I remembered. Charming lodge and room, fixings for a yummy full breakfast and a bottle of wine when checked in to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely be back!
We stayed one night at Brook Trout Inn with our dog while visiting the area for fall foliage. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful when checking in, giving us a little tour of the property before going to our room. Our first floor room was clean and nice with a grassy area to walk the dog just outside. The location is great, with easy access to Cashiers, Gorges State Park, Panthertown Valley and countless waterfalls and hiking trails. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.
We recently stayed at the Book Trout Inn, mainly from reviews on Trip Advisor, and it didn’t disappoint. If your one that doesn’t needed to be waited on hand and foot, but just appreciates very clean accommodations and extremely friendly service, this is the place for you. Very close to Cashiers and Highlands without the price tag, it’s very affordable considering you get breakfast included. It also is very centrally located to all the waterfall hikes in the area.
My wife actually picked this spot off the internet for a recent impromptu trip. Not a hotel chain! It was clean and Jim, I think that was his name, was one of the friendliest people I've ever met. He wanted to make sure we felt welcomed and knew where everything was. The main building has a kitchen/dinning area where you can grab some coffee or breakfast items. You fix your own which is fine. Everything was clean and plenty of utensils, etc. On the other side is a room with a gas fire place and lots of comfortable seating. I thought to myself I could easily spend the day there just reading (and they have books too). The property itself has some outdoor seating, fire pit and such. We were there in cold weather but I think it would be a pleasant setting in outdoor season. Anyway, a jewell in the midst of the world of corporate lodging!…
We came up to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina for Christmas this year and had an amazing stay at the BrookTrout inn. The rooms are so cozy and each one has its own deck area to enjoy the weather on! The lobby is beautiful, and a great place to play board games with the family or even make breakfast in the morning. No place has ever felt more like a home away from home.
We arranged a wedding block to book all the rooms at the Brook Trout Inn for my daughter's wedding, which was at a venue in the area. Julie, the owner, was wonderful from the first time we talked to her. The Inn was perfect for our group. All of our wedding guest(s) raved about how clean and comfortable their rooms were. Our room was spacious, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the grounds were well maintained and adorable. Julie and her staff made everyone feel right at home. The common area is stocked with a selection of coffee, teas, and hot chocolate as well as other breakfast food and snacks for guest to enjoy at their leisure. We loved our stay! We will definitely be going back again.
Visiting Lake Jocassee and made last minute reservations at this beautiful inn. Super friendly staff and owner, clean cozy rooms, close to great shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend and will visit again.
Julie was an amazing host. We had to make changes to our reservation and she not only went out of her way to accommodate those, but gave us a room upgrade as well! The inn is in a great location and right next door to an excellent Italian restaurant. The Family Suite (Upper Apartment) is a great place to stay, with a full kitchen, separate bedroom, spacious living room, and a private porch with a gas barbeque. The guest common area was well stocked with breakfast items, and had plenty of seating plus a gas fireplace. The grounds are very nice and include a firepit with plenty of wood. Get yourself a copy of North Carolina Waterfalls by Kevin Adams (3rd edition) and you will have plenty to explore in the area! Thanks Julie!
