Beautiful cabin decorated with antiques from all over the world. Ann the owner has such a warm personality that you feel that you've been friends forever. We called about a same day reservation and were able to pick out the room we wanted to stay in upon our arrival. Gorgeous views, breakfast was the best we've ever had, cookies and...

We went here for anniversary, and really enjoyed the comfort and coziness of the house. You will feel at home the minute you walk in and see their dog at their door. The owners are friendly and make the best breakfast ever! Thanks for a great visit.

My stay at Lazy Bear Lodge was extraordinarily comfortable and relaxing. Anne and Mark Winkelman, hosts, are warm and engaging without being smothering. They gave many helpful tips on restaurants and other good places to go. There were fresh, homemade cookies and cake when I arrived. Breakfasts are served within a generous range of time at the guests' convenience. There...

When you walk in the cabin is a 2 million dollar cabin that spares no expense. It has incredibly relaxed comfort starting from the owner. She took us to the kitchen the second we checked in a said, " if you like cheese cake or cookies I just baked them 20 min ago, help your self". I don't eat desserts...

Wow! what a WILD and FANTASTIC review. My friends and I have had barrels of laughter reading about your stay, you should seriously think about writing for a career. That being said, we need to clarify a few things. 1. Miss Bella’s feelings were hurt, she has been on a diet and currently weighs 130 pounds. 2. I’m glad you...

We spent one night here while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is located on a hillside overlooking the Valle Crucis. We had some trouble with directions - the sigh for one of the turn offs was hard to find and there was a lot going on at the intersection. We called to clarify and finally made it ok. The...

My husband and I arrived at this lodge after a full day's gorgeous drive across the Blue Ridge Mountains. We had no idea what to expect but were delighted to encounter a beautiful, quirky b&b and a friendly owner, Anne with her dog, Bella. The living quarter and room was delightful and nothing was too much trouble for Anne who...

Sadly we were only staying here for 1 night. We could have remained cocooned in beautiful and comfortable surroundings for at least 2 more! There were hot drinks and cake to welcome us on our arrival ( on a very wet and bleak day), and freshly baked cookies on our return from dinner. Our room was warm and comfortable, so...

We stayed here for just one night as part of a trip touring through the area. Of all the places we stayed this was easily our favourite. It's beautifully furnished and so peaceful with fabulous viiews of the mountains. Every detail has been put in place to make for a really comfortable and relaxing stay. Unfortunately the owners were away...
