I really like this place. There are camper sites right on the lakefront and it is so peaceful and quiet. Everyone is friendly, too. I've been twice camping in our little custom camper. And I'm even thinking about sticking it here for a close little weekend getaway permanently. It's close to Duplin Winery and there are several little restaurants in...

This is a pretty RV park and lake but the camp sites are very small. Our awning opened out and was about one foot from the camper beside us. There are a lot of full time/seasonal people mixed in with the regular campers. It would be nice if the full time campsites were separate from the overnight or weekend campers.

My husband and I stayed at Lake Leamon from March to October this year. Everything was going fine UNTIL... well, our long-term "neighbors" packed up and left. Their rental agreement was with Gary, the man that rents "campers and cabins" up there, (including the one that the neighbors 'thought' they were buying). Gary took it upon himself to begin putting...

Group of neighbors took our motorhomes up from Myrtle Beach for a weekend. The campground is a convenient location for any Duplin Winery event, and the price for electricity and water is reasonable. The dump station is very easy to access. Once you master the road, in the sites on the lake provide a great view and you can literally...

I see other reviews that are negative but we have been coming here for 20 years and have seen a lot. The negative reviews are generally from people that "created" a negative experience for themselves. It is locally owned and operated. The staff are great, friendly and family oriented people. The campground is a place like no other where you...

So far so good! My husband, son, and I have rented a space here for a 6+ month stay. Everyone has been super kind and helpful. Although it is too cold to swim just yet, I can't wait for the water to warm up! The best part is we are only a few steps from a quiet fishing dock. If...

I am a 32 year old well educated black man with a wife and 2 beautiful children. I took my family on a camping experience and let it be known that this was my children's first camping trip. I was approached by a group of white mean and told that this wasn't going to happen. When I asked what they...

We stayed here a few years ago several times while our house was being built a few miles away as it was the only place that would allow our dog .Used the "little" house a few time and a larger travel trailer which was great as we did not spend a lot of time in either and our daughter who...

Nice little simple place with a game room and refreshment! Bring a grill, pack a picnic basket or enjoy a nice paddle boat trip around the lake. No alcohol on the premises and no lifeguard, so beware of sometimes rowdy kids.
