This was a business and pleasure trip. Business for me and pleasure for my wife. She enjoyed the opportunity to relax and read while I was away. The local shops were intriguing and the boardwalk allowed us to have a safe and wonderful place to walk and talk.

The early 20th century building has been beautifully restored with furniture in style of the period, great porch and reception rooms. The service was excellent and very friendly. You can walk into town in 2 minutes and Washington itself has a nice board walk. A place to relive the grand old South.

The Pamlico House is elegant, but casual, so it's easy to feel right at home. Virginia is lovely, charming, attentive, and an excellent cook! We came in for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

My wife and I spent the night there and found it very comfortable, spacious, and hospitable. The owner, Virginia, had just the right amount of presence--attentive but not overbearing. Unlike some B&B's where we've stayed, our room was not only comfortable and well appointed but also spacious. A very nice amenity was a second-floor refrigerator stocked with soft drinks, juice,...

I made a last minute reservation at the Pamlico House B&B as I needed to attend a memorial service. Virginia was most sympathic as the reason for my stay but did an excellent job of providing a very comfortable room with all the amentities. The location is superb in relation to the historic district of Washington and just a short...

We stayed at the Pamlico House for two nights while we visited the area. We enjoyed everything about this bed and breakfast. We received a warm welcome from Virginia the (innkeeper /owner) and felt right at home. She was available to answer questions and offer recommendations of places to eat in the area. We stayed in the Kuralt room. The room...

I've stayed at many B&B's, and after staying at the Pamlico House, I would say that it ranks among my top 2 or 3 favorites of all time. The house itself is beautiful, and impeccably appointed in a way that feels appropriately antique and romantic without being stuffy or old. All of the details were spot on, from the fluffy...

While Virginia has owned the Pamlico House for only a year, the service was exceptional by any seasoned traveller's standards. Informative goodie bags were cute and useful for finding local attractions.
