Nice location in the mountains, great breakfast in the morning, friendly staff, clean rooms, golf course in good shape, and reasonable rates. Makes for a nice getaway, will return. Not crowded in first part of week. Restaurants in town are good and close by.

Depends. We wanted to have drinks and not worry about driving, so we ate at the hotel. I had the special which was filet mignon which was quite good. It was adequate for us so depends on your taste. There are a few restaurants nearby in Waynesville too (look here on TA) which would be closer than driving to Asheville.
