What a treat it was to spend our one night in Wilmington in the cutest, most modern, super-friendly and CLEAN and affordable hotel in town! This inn, built in the 1800's, has been converted into ultra modern suites with loft style bedrooms and is hosted exquisitely by a gentleman named Michael. It's convenient, spacious, and definitely less expensive than those...

We recently were able to book Stemmerman's in downtown Wilmington, NC for the government rate - $94.00. This is important as we are required to stay within per diem for local hotels at the federal rate. The hotel / inn is in a nice area of town with access to shops and restaurants in walking distance. Mr. Michael was great...

Excellent location with a deck overlooking the Cape Fear river. Easy walk to tons of restaurants and bars. Great rooms with character. Room #1 has a small kitchenette with some very cool antique appliances. The rooms are very spacious. Michael was very friendly and helpful. Good price, too.

We stayed at Stemmerman's Inn this past weekend. My husband and I were both in dire need of rest and relaxation. The Inn far exceeded our expectations on comfort, noise level, hospitality, space and beauty. Within 30 minutes of our arrival, my husband looked 10 years younger. The suites were spacious, quiet and beautiful. Mr. Michael, the Innkeeper, was amazing!...

This was my first trip to the Stemmerman's Inn, but what a trip! Loved the location - an easy walk (even in the cold) to great eating. Mr. Michael is quite the historian. He gave wonderful tips for places to eat and things to see. Room was just perfect for a twosome. My back is a little out of whack...

Michael the innkeeper gives great tips and is most helpful. Bed is comfortable and the room has all you might need. The have added...

Stemmerman's Inn is very good located downtown Wilmington in Front Street. All restaurants/bars are nearby. Parking is provided for guests. The rooms are clean, spacious and very nice decorated. Mr. Michael has great recommendations for restaurants and was the nicest Inn-Keeper we met. Every morning we got orange juice and muffins in the fridge. Coffee machine is provided as well.

Stemmerman's Inn was amazing. We have visited downtown Wilmington before and stayed at a hotel chain and had fun but we wanted to try something different. This place is a true treasure, unlike anywhere I have ever stayed. The Inn is so charming and transports you back in time. The suietes are spacious, very clean with huge windows, trememdous views...

“I don't completely recall if all rooms had this, but our suite had a skylight in the bedroom upstairs..which was beautiful at night to look at the stars but a bit bright in the morning. We didn't but you may want to ask if there is a way to close it to block some light out if you plan on sleeping in. But I must say, it did not take anything away from my stay. :)”
