This place is 'best kept secret' status for me. It's definitely not flashy or appointed like a lot of new hotels; but if you can look past that, there's a roguish charm about it that makes it worthwhile. The rooms are clean, if dated, and the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. And the location is ideal; you can walk...

old interiors, beautiful surroundings, walking distance from the riverfront. Really enjoyed my stay, comfortable room with beautiful view and free wifi. No cafeteria but they have a snacks bar which have fresh and good choice.

This is an older hotel but it is very well kept up and was clean. The staff was wonderful and friendly. They were so pleasant on the phone they were the deciding factor on where I was going to stay. I wish we could have stayed more than one night but we will be back.

I booked a room here for an anniversary and was very pleased with my stay. The staff up front were very helpful and friendly. Just as all the other reviews stated, the rooms are nice and quaint. My favorite was the location. It is walking distance to the best part of Wilmington, downtown. I will be staying here again and...

We have booked a New Year's Cruise on the Henrietta III Riverboat at the Wilmington waterfront for 7 of the last 8 years. We had never even heard of the Wilmingtonian but I found it online and it was less expensive than the nearest motels, a short walk to the boat and offered free parking! We didn't know what to...

Great location, walkable to anywhere downtown. We have stayed here at least a dozen times and have enjoyed the rooms. It's more of a singles/couples hotel. They have the best rates for this area in any season. We're even staying there next weekend!!

I stayed just one night in a suite at the Wilmingtonian and liked it. It has a great location, walking distance from everything downtown. The kitchen is quite usable, full size frig, stove, and supplies to cook with. It is a place one could book a long stay and would work well. It even has a stacked washing machine/dryer. It...

I stayed at this quaint hotel many years ago and had a wonderful experience, very clean , nice furniture, no "cookie cutter" rooms, very pleasant. I was so looking forward to return this past weekend in town on business. The room I had was very "run down" The couch in the living area was so stained I would not even...

Thank you for your review. We count on guests like you to help us maintain a property that we can be proud of. Please know that we agreed with your recommendation that we remove the couch in this suite and immediately ordered a replacement. We are also looking into replacing windows for the building and, of course, the other minor...

We escaped to Wilmington for one night to celebrate our 20th anniversary and to see a band play. We stumbled onto the Wilmingtonian as they were the only Inn in town that didn't make us have a two night reservation. What a pleasant surprise! The Inn is located in walking distance to all the great restaurants and nightlife of downtown...

The Wilmingtonian was recommended to me by a colleague and did not disappoint. The location is fantastic, with great access to all the shops, bars and coffee places you could ever need, and it is well within walking distance to the Cape Fear for evening walks or historical tours. The room was definitely old, but everything was in working order....
