Beautiful hotel and superior customer service. Valet and self parking available. If you self park, there is a covered walkway over the street to the hotel. We traveled as a family of 3 (2 adults and teen), and were upgraded to a 'suite' at check-in due to Platinum status. Gentleman who checked us in was lovely. He indicated concierge was open with drinks and heavy apps and that desserts would be served at 8:30. We went up at 7:45pm and the whole place was shut down....

Marriotts are always great but I get the best sleep in their hotels because they have the best beds. The service at this hotel was outstanding and friendly. The location is central and parking is easy.

Price was not bad at 119 nightly, and there are a number of nice looking restaurants and bars close by, but I will stay elsewhere next time. There was plenty to do in the area and the hotel was set up well for good size groups. (We had around 60 people.) The room was nice, but it was tough to adjust the water temperature in the shower (may be time to upgrade the fixtures) and every hour or so, the toilet kept running.

My wife and I stayed at the Winston-Salem Marriott in June while attending a convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. The room was luxurious, and we enjoyed both a dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet each morning of our stay. Each morning, we awoke refreshed and ready for the day's program.
