We recently stayed a few nights at the Augustus Zevely while visiting Old Salem and surrounding area. The innkeepers were attentive, the location was perfect -- nestled among the streets of Old Salem -- and the inn was quaint and quiet. We stayed in a room that had its own exterior entrance which led out onto a porch. We loved...

I love historical homes and staying at B&B's, so when I needed to stay overnight in Winston-Salem recently, this was my top choice, but... First the positives: Location: Close to downtown Winston-Salem, UNC-School of the Arts & Salem College is right down the block, plus you are in the middle of historic Old Salem. Breakfast/Service: The morning hostess / chef...

Charming old house in old Salem and ideally located to walk and explore the area. There is off-street parking available in a small lot around the corner. Our room (The Gunpowder Magazine Room) was charming and nicely furnished. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful with information about resturants and attractions in Old Salem. The breakfast is self-serve with good...

Nothin' but good at this place! Authentic Moravian home in old Salem a few blocks from the start of the tour of the Moravian village. The Innkeeper and chef are lovely, warm welcoming women who made us feel like family. Breakfast is fresh and hot, the beds are comfy and the floor is creaky in such an appropriate way. Freshly...

This was our first time at a B & B. We took our 8 year old (quiet) daughter to stay there. We all enjoyed it very much. It was very quiet and nice. We would do it again. The restaurant across the street is magnificent. This B & B is in the heart of Old Salem. We walked everywhere.

My husband and I just got back from visiting Winston-Salem. We called the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts and they told us that when visiting Winston-Salem that we should stay at the Zevely Inn. This quaint B and B is perfectly situated in the middle of the historic district of Old Salem. The location is ideal for anyone visiting...

We stayed at the Zeveley Inn for eight nights spanning the Easter weekend. Both Linda and Sherry were terrific hosts each providing interesting local information and tips. The rooms were beautifully decorated with lots of charm and comfort. The breakfasts were wonderful with plenty of fruit, fresh baked cakes etc and great conversation. All in all, a great stay!!

When you visit Old Salem, nothing better than staying in Old Salem. Great B&B. Comfortable room, private enough for a B&B. I bet spring, summer and autumn would be idea especially with the great garden/patio area. Very friendly host.

Linda the innkeeper is the sweetest person. You couldn't ask for a more pleasant experience than staying at the Zevely. The cookies, brownies, Moravian Sugar Cake and Raisin Bread French Toast were such a delight! The Inn and room we stayed in were as warm and welcoming as the staff. The Inn is in wonderfully quaint old Salem and a...

This was our first B&B experience and it exceeded our expectations. The inn itself was charming and our room was great with a fireplace and large, king size 4 poster bed. The floors were delightfully squeaky attesting to the age of the home. The innkeeper, Linda, was a delight and took time out of her evening duties to enjoy a...
