Detailed Reviews
Friendly staff and the hotel smells new and clean (not like some that try to mask smoke, dirty carpet, and musty smells with terrible chemicals and air fresheners). The room was also very clean, from bedding, to carpet, to surfaces. Daily housekeeping was a nice treat. While it is very quiet most of the day, one downside, and true for all of Carrington, is that it sits close to a railroad track and the trains consistently blow their horn all the way through town regardless what time of day or night.

It is a quiet and friendly hotel. The rooms were built well, and no inside or outside noise was heard.
The fitness room was somewhat cramped. In that room, there was a washer and dryer as well.
The people at the front desk were friendly as well. Past reviews did not align with my stay.
Great breakfast!

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Not crazy about the big drain in the middle of the bathroom floor or the fact that there was no closet with a door on it to keep the room from looking cluttered for our 1-week stay. Also, we left the room around 10 AM one morning, but did not have the "Do not disturb sign" on the door, but it was never cleaned that day.
The hot breakfast items were never hot, just tepid. I have Type 1 diabetes, so I would have appreciated some Diet Cokes being available in the store.

I’m having a wedding in the area and the hotel was extremely disappointing when it came to blocks. I came to find out that they told my guests there were no rooms available, when in facts there were no one just took the time to figure it out. This proceeded to screw over my family and friends.

I am sorry to hear of your disappointment but with every group block, it does expire 30 days before the event and unfortunately the hotel did fill up with the other events happening that same weekend.

I was very impressed with my stay at the Cobblestone Suites! It started when I entered my room. It was very clean. Next, the front desk person called the room and asked if everything was okay with our room. That was impressive! That just doesn’t happen anymore in today’s world! I will plan to stay here again on my next visit to Carrington. Also, the beds were very comfy! The complimentary breakfast was great too!

It's a nice place. Clean, and quiet. Could use a bigger breakfast selection but it's ok. Staff are really nice. There is a laundry room for guests. It is across the street from a Casey's so you can get some fuel and food, or treats. Check in is easy.

We stayed at the Cobblestone Inn for 4 nights while attending our grandma's funeral service in nearby New Rockford, so I definitely feel like our review will be fair and accurate.
We checked in on a Thursday, right before the Labor Day weekend. Check in was quick and easy, and we were warmly greeted when we entered the lobby. We stayed in a king room, and what a pleasant surprise it was.
Room: Exceptionally clean. This means a lot to me. The bedding was definitely upgraded, with lots of pillows and a very comfy bed. A big flat TV, and it came included with an instruction sheet on how to operate it. This was nice since sometimes remote controls can be very confusing. The AC was wonderful as the temps outside were in the mid 90's, and humid. There was a mini fridge and coffee bar in the room, and they made for a very nice touch. All in all, the room was terrific.
Bathroom: Exceptionally clean and updated too. The granite countertops and new shower made the whole bathroom feel great. I LOVE It when a hotel isn't stingy with towels. We had 4 of everything for the two of us - bath towels, face towels and washcloths. Great.
Lobby: Kind of small but very nicely appointed. There was a little seating area to the side with a tv and a few easy chairs. In addition, there were 3 tables for 4 people each to sit and have breakfast. It might be hard to find a seat if the hotel was full, but we never had a problem. We used the lobby one night to play cards with other family staying in the hotel and it worked perfectly.
Breakfast: The staples that were there every morning were make-your-own-waffles, 2 cold cereals, instant oatmeal; white/wheat/english muffins for toasting, a few assorted muffins/pastries, yogurt, and the assorted jams/butter/spreads for everything. In addition, there is a chafing dish that had 2 items that changed every day: Friday was sausage patties and egg patties to make "sausage Mcmuffins", Saturday - french toast sticks and bacon, Sunday - scrambled eggs and link sausage; and Monday was unknown. We were one of only three rooms on Monday morning, so we were offered french toast sticks made to order if we wanted. The only thing that would have made breakfast better was a few healthier options. Both cold cereals were not nutritionally healthy. It was impossibly to eat the instant oatmeal without taking it to our room and nuking it in the microwave as the water in the hot pot was barely hot. Unfortunately, barely hot doesn't work with instant oatmeal. Hard boiled eggs? More fruit?
One issue we DID have, was one day we left the hotel at 10:45am for the day. When we returned at 8pm, our room had not been serviced. Somehow housekeeping had missed us. Not a huge deal, but noteworthy. The front desk quickly gave us fresh towels and we were fine.
Those are so minor, and truly the only improvements that I can think of to be made. I highly recommend this hotel, and would stay there again with no hesitation.

The facility was a little tricky to find using our GPS for some reason, but the hotel is located right on the main highway through Carrington. Not knowing what to expect when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the facility. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even offering to help carry our bags to the second floor since they do not have an elevator. The free breakfast included some hot items such as eggs, sausage, and bacon, as well as other continental items such as muffins, waffles, bagels, etc. They also have a 24 hour convenience store for snacks, beverages and other munchies as well as a beer and wine bar for an evening nightcap. Being a small town, some of the nearby restaurants had some odd hours, but we were able to find fairly good food less than a mile away. Overall, an excellent experience I would recommend to others!
