You don't expect much from a food truck at an out-of-the-way caravan park, but this was such a pleasant surprise. The coffee was decent, the pancakes fluffy, the sandwich and chips fresh. A good selection, too.

Had a great week at Cheynes Beach. Small town, about 40mins from Albany. Good range of activities - camping, swimming, fishing, snorkelling, etc 4WD on beach and a couple of great hillside drives - some tracks are a bit narrow, our 200 series cruiser got a good amount of side scrubbing. Good amount of grassy sites available, some useful group...

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us at Cheynes Beach. The kangaroos enjoy coming into the park for the daily visit. Our staff work very hard to keep all the amenities and park clean through out the day. We hope to see you again sometime in the very near future. Judy

Nice park but $55 for a tiny unpowered tent site is just completely over the top! No wonder campers are tempted to free camp illegally in sensitive areas!! The magnificent national parks in this region offer far greater value!!

Thank you for your review, but I do need to clarify that you didn't pay $55 you paid $52. The site was not unpowered, it had power available if you chose to use it. You arrived without a booking during our most busiest time of the year and we found you a well grassed and shaded powered tent site close...

Stayed at Cheynes Beach caravan park recently it was lovely and peaceful as not school holiday or long weekend. Fishing was good for some. Very beautiful area, lots of roos coming into the park at dusk to feed. Very helpful manager , parked my van for me.

This park is a wonderful place to stay. Judy and the team do it all right. Right from the beginning it is a warm and friendly greeting. We are keen bird photographers and Judy was extremely helpful with information to assist us. The facilities at the park are immaculate and the beach itself is breathtaking. The nearby Wychinicup National Park...

A great place to visit for birding, helpful staff and a nice green park with very clean amenities. We will return. Lots of new shrubs being planted while we were there so should look different in a couple of years.

We had a delightful night here - which it could have been 2 as we just may have actually seen 2 of the 3 birds we were after. Weather was against us but it was s comfortable stop. Make sure you have all your food as it is expensive to replenish basic bits. The coffee and hot chocolate from the...

This is a very nice caravan park very clean and tidy. The kangaroos visit everyday. We saw whales in the bay most days. Lots of birds. Joanne and Alan work very hard to keep this park in good shape. Very relaxing.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a family owned and managed caravan park. We pride ourselves in maintaining a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Cheynes Beach is a protected cove, 45 min drive from Albany and Porongorup and 75 mins from the Stirling Ranges, an accessible beach that stretches for kilometres with aqua blue waters and sparkling white sands. Like much of the region, the area is undeveloped and virtually unspoilt. Offering little opportunity for agricultural development this part of the world is filled with these small undisturbed sanctuaries that hug the coast and provide a stunning backdrop for a camping expedition. The whole region is a series of crevices and crannies and thick scrubby coastal bush. Home to various marsupials including Quenda, Ring Tail Possum and numerous species of birds, some of which are endemic to WA, it is not uncommon to have to share quarters with the local wildlife. The hills that are strewn with polished granite boulders and the green foliage and crystal waters make for a unique and memorable place to visit. ... more   less
