Fargo, ND Hotel's Waterparks Exceed Expectations A local landmark, the Holiday Inn of Fargo offers an ideal location near the region's major businesses, attractions and shopping. With easy access to I-29, I-94 and Hector International Airport (FAR), we're the best choice in Fargo, ND. Families love our kid-friendly approach to hospitality. The Shipwreck Bay pirate-themed pool is just one of the many reasons to choose us for a North Dakota vacation. The Gallery restaurant and Spirits lounge feature some of the best food and drinks in the area. The Fargodome is about 3.5 miles away if you're here for Bison football or a concert. There's no better place to stay if shopping is on the agenda, as West Acres Shopping Center is just across the street! Don't forget a trip to Newman Field for a RedHawks' baseball game, Fargo Air Museum or take in a game at Scheel's Arena with Fargo Force Hockey.

First, let me tell you that the beds, pillow and linens are A1, no complaints there. However, the internet is absolutely horrible, TV Guide is not user friendly. Bathrooms are tiny, you cannot close the door if you've already sat down on the toilet. Carpets are looking very warn and don't look clean. Alexis at the front desk was very friendly and was very attentive in allowing us to check in a bit earlier.

Room Tip: I would recommend a 2nd floor room on the outside of the hall way. Pool side rooms tend to be loud.

It's fairly obvious the only reason this hotel can charge such ridiculous prices is because they have a nice conference center and people like the convenience of staying the same place as their events. Check in is listed as 3pm. After driving hours with two small children, we arrived shortly after 3 and were told our room wasn't clean yet. No big deal, we could take in a park or something. The front desk said they would call when we could get in the room. We finally called at 7pm in frustration and were told it would be done soon. We asked if we could go use the pool because it was ridiculously hot outside and we were out of options with two toddlers. To which we were told the pool was closed for the evening. It was almost 8 when we finally were able to check in. No apology or anything. When we finally got into the room, it wasn't even clean. There was food in the fridge, the carpet was wet, and there was only two clean towels and one hand towel in the room. The tub was disgusting, obviously not well cleaned in a long time. The toilet paper dispenser was broken. The ceiling had water damage. The internet worked maybe half the time. And none of the tv channels actually worked so the tv was pointless. The pool had many sketchy areas that clearly need to be repaired. The fact that the air conditioning didn't work sucked, but we tried to be understanding and it wasn't horrible when swimming but unbearable if just sitting in the area. The only saving grace for this hotel was that the staff who worked the meal service for our event were incredibly kind, fast, and personable. The conference center was much cleaner than the hotel rooms, although also super hot. The food was great, better than most catering we have had. All in all, highly recommend the event center. Highly discourage staying in the hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some detailed feedback! We are so sorry for the wait on getting your room ready. We are trying very hard to get more staff hired and trained. This is truly unacceptable and will be addressed immediately! This pandemic has caused such an impact on staffing not only for us but for manufacturers that make the parts and supplies we need. We want to pass on our apologies for the condition of some parts of the pool area, as we strive to provide a much better experience for our guests. Rest assured, we do also have some fixes on the way for the pool area and are looking forward for those to arrive! In fact, one came in today and we were finally able to install a new slide. We hope the AC parts will arrive next! We want to stress that this stay was an exception, not the norm and hope you might give us another chance sometime in the future. We appreciate having you as our guest!

This is by far the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in and experienced in my life. Where do I even begin - from the moment I checked in (at 9:30pm) I got to my room that was PARTIALLY cleaned (see pics). I notified the front desk who asked me to “step out for an hour or so for them to clean it” - ummm it’s 9:30pm and I have a 5 year old and we just drove 5 hours. Not a great start. Then head to the pool where there is nasty clumps of hair all over the pool deck, “construction” to the kids pirate ship that was never mentioned or pictured (see pics), cracked and broken filters, and BLOOD. I brought the cracked filter cover and the BLOOD on the pool deck to numerous staff’s attention. I stayed from Friday evening through Monday morning. As of Saturday, the staff “fixed” the cracked and broken filter with electric tape and as of check out (Monday - 3 DAYS LATER) the BLOOD was still all over the pool deck (see pics)!!! Back to my unclean room - my 5 year old son found a giant spider protecting its egg sack in what appeared to be a several week old gigantic web (see pic) attached to the under the window fan unit right next to the bed. I called and asked staff to bring a vacuum in which the security guard was sent to my room, he brought a washcloth and spray bottle, managed to miss and let the gigantic spider run away under the bed, and proceed to tell me “oh yeah the vacuum can’t reach there so that’s probably why it’s there” - ummm so they never vacuum that entire area next to the bed - BARF!!! I’ve literally NEVER written a review, but this hotel NEEDS to be SHUT DOWN!!! SO SO GROSS and the worse part is they clearly DO NOT CARE!

Stayed here for one night for work. The entry is nice and there is a bar and restaurant with attached convention center. A large pool area with pool facing rooms. I stayed away from the pool end it was pretty quiet. Did not like being on the first floor with a window facing one of the doors. The rooms are spacious but the bathrooms are extremely cramped; like sitting crooked to use the bathroom because the door is in the way cramped. I also noticed the area by my window was extremely cold. I bumped up the heat at one point but it apparently reset itself. The desk chair was also really stained which doesn’t lead to that extra clean feeling. The bed was comfortable. Did not use the gym or the restaurants. Conveniently located across from the mall in a lot of restaurants and plenty of parking.

I am sorry for the letdown. I have alerted the hotel management regarding your concerns. I know they appreciate your sharing your experience, and I am confident they will take steps for further improvement and make sure this doesn’t happen again. Called front desk after no warm water from sink after running 5 minutes. Was told it is typical to take 10 minutes to get warm water in such a large building and he was very rude. Been running 10 minutes, still ice cold. Shower gets warm after several minutes but will burst you with cold water. Front desk mentioned maintence was out and he could have him look at once he returned later tonight if I wanted. Wow. Terrible customer service.

Overall, it's a very clean hotel. The layout is like a 7 story hotel laid on its side. There's a lounge, restaurant, coffee shop downstairs. Staff are very friendly. It's across the street from the mall and just blocks away from eating and shopping. There is a Keurig in the room but no microwave. I guess they want you to buy the food there.

In this day and age what motel doesn’t offer a microwave in every room. Here for a tournament and there isn’t a microwave in our room. There is a refrigerator but not a microwave. Call front desk and they don’t have any left why do you need one. Anyone that works in this industry knows that families that travel with sports bring some of their own food to heat up. Play and stay tournaments on top of it so you get socked with another $50 a night added to your room. Terrible.
