Unfortunately We only spent one night in this little piece of paradise, among the Andean mountains and the right above the river. The view from every single room is amazing, the food deliciously made at the minute you order, the cleanliness, the atmosphere, and the service! A little more expensive than the average hotel in the area, but worth every...

We only spent 2 nights at Casa de la Estacion, but could have easily spent several more. The guesthouse itself is extremely beautiful and understated. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the back patio overlooking the river. Everything is laid out very simply but you can tell that a lot of thought went into it all. Make sure to eat...

I flew from NYC to spend a couple of days with my girlfriend in La Casa de la Estacion in mid May. The house is beautifully designed, the surroundings are extremely beautiful and the owner of the house is helpful and all around a great person. My girlfriend and I had a great time and we will certainly come back...

If you live in Bogotá or you are visiting, don´t miss this experience. The perfect place to relax. The host is more than pro. There are a lot of options for eco tourism, great and quiet places to visit, great place for adventure lovers or just to relax and get a massage and good food.

There are so many wonderful things to say about this place that I don't know where to begin! The house is beautifully restored and decorated very well. The room and common areas are comfortable and peaceful with the sounds of the rushing river. The climate is warm during the day and there is a small pool that's perfect for cooling...

I can only highly recommend this beautiful place. It is home to peace and relaxation. The house is a big surprise, kind of a boutique hotel, it can only have 3 couples at a time which makes it very private. You will hear the river from your room and feel totally relax. The service is exceptionnally good and Roberto, the...

We searched for something to get away from Bogotá in a place that was easy to get to with a nice climate..I had a feeling it would be nice, but no idea just how nice it would be! We arrived in the cool Tobia evening and were welcomed with juices by the owner, and were shown around the house. We...

We needed to get out of Bogota. This house was the perfect escape. Recommended by a Colombian cousin who is personal friends with the owner, we knew from the moment we arrived that we were in the right hands. The home is restored in a style that is both modern, and honours the heritage of this 100 year old casa....

It was our third stay there; and there will always be a reason to go back. Tobia is a small town far enough from Bogota to be an excellent getaway to rest, disconnect and recharge in just a weekend. Roberto (the owner) really made us feel home. He's done a great job decorating and designing the house for it to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa de la Estacion is characterized for defining a new concept of small country hotel close to the capital of Colombia. Where, in a large-house style, you will feel a warm and welcoming seal, and a careful attention. In the rooms, it primes a simplicity principle; its floors in warm wood and its exquisite furniture both enlighten the intimate and personal character of this guest house. Its theme is developed in basic concepts with a strong identity based in the locality, where popular culture is celebrated in a modern and fun fashion. The open kitchen allows guests to interact at the time of picking the dishes and garrisons; the Houses menu is the reflection of the traditional way to cook in the open country. ... more   less
