Detailed Reviews
Very nice staff member greeted us in a very nice large lobby.
Our two rooms were average hotel rooms HOWEVER…. This hotel offers about 10-15 theme rooms from whimsical to romantic! Best to check out their website for a fun place to stay! There is coffee in the lobby in the morning.
They also have a lounge (bar) and restaurant which opens about 4 or 5. (Shady's)
There were a number of large conference rooms off the lobby.
Would suggest asking to be away from construction workers who need to leave very early in the morning and start their noisy trucks outside the room's windows.

Pool/hot tub out of order. Sign on front desk apologizes for the inconvenience. Website shows the pool area operational.
There is no breakfast available - but it is close to several options within walking distance.
Hotel is old, but my room was clean, beds were comfy. Front desk closes so if you need anything before you go to bed you better get it early in the evening.

Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating! Room was very clean upon first look. However, there was a smell to the bathroom that smelled like pee. It was not horrible and we were only there for one night. I did tell the gall at the front desk the next morning that it appeared toilet needed to be cleaned better. She took feed back seriously.
Like I said, staff was very accommodating, price was excellent, location was walking distance from college, and room was very clean with the exception of the smell in bathroom.
We would go back again.

I've stayed at this hotel in the past, but each time that I come back it keeps getting better. They have added wireless internet, and exercise room, and have the nicest pool area that I've seen. I stayed in their new Getaway Suite on Nov. 6th, 2004. One of the best experiences I've ever had at any hotel. This place is really changing for the better.

The room was poolside. The mattresses on the beds were saggy. The curtain rod was broken. Not worth what we paid.

We just extended our stay to one more day here. Our beautifully, well laid out, suite has a sliding glass door that opens to the indoor sparkling pool and jacuzzi, our breakfast downstairs was fresh and our waitress Jennifer accomodated our vegan diet..which does include eggs occationly. The manager was accommodating, personable, and shared her excitement about the remodeling which creates no noise or other inconvenience. Visit Babbs caticorner for a wonderful coffee house experience. We're off to see the spiritually inspiring white buffalo, and visit the other town and country shops filled with friendly locals the location affords. Coming home to the most comfortable nights sleep I've experienced short of a 12 inch memory foam.

My brother and his family stayed at the Gladstone after a long weekend in Minneapolis. I had suggested the Gladstone because I had stayed there numerous times with good accomodations.
We got into Jamestown late on Sunday night and my brother and his family went directly to the hotel. They got checked in and went to their room. After they were in the room, the children began screaming. They saw a mouse. My brother chased the mouse around the room and it got out the door. My brother looked underneath the bed and found crumbs and other items underneath the bed. When he got into the bathroom, he found that wasn't cleaned completely either. He went to the front desk but all they said was that mice sometimes get into the rooms while the housekeeping staff have the doors open. If that is a problem, they should call a pest control service.
I wouldn't suggest staying at the Gladstone.

I have stayed at the Gladstone Inn & Suites two times. Every time I have been blown away by the professionalism and hospitality of their staff. The first time I hosted my graduation party in a pool-side room; they listened and met every one of my requests for accommodations. The second time was for a conference in town. Because of inclement weather, I ended up staying an extra two days in the hotel. The staff were so helpful and alleviated the stress during this time - they kept my room for me while I was glued to the radar, waiting to see if I could travel yet. I stayed in one of their many themed rooms; the Ocean View suite was such a treat! Some themed rooms at other hotels are "cheesy" as if they're trying too hard. The Gladstone hits it right on the head with their themes and decor. Can't wait to see how the renovation process turns out.

Several guests were in town for a family wedding. They chose to stay at the Gladstone as it is centrally located in Jamestown. Family and friends all were happy with their stay. The staff is VERY friendly, the location is excellent, and the poolside area is perfect for gathering together a group of people. We were welcome to visit with our guests at poolside in the evenings although we were not registered. This allowed a diverse group of family and friends to gather for several hours and share memories in a quiet and personal setting. Reservations went smoothly and everyone left town happy with their visit. The Gladstone is located in downtown, a short drive to any other location in Jamestown and close to many visitor destinations. The Gladstone is not a brand new venue, but it is comfortable and friendly and we would suggestit again to people coming to town.
