Detailed Reviews
This was a stop for us on day 1 of a 26 hour trip with 3 kids in tow and it was such a lovely surprise. All the spots were shaded, it was incredibly quiet, the locals camping there were super welcoming (it was unseasonably hot, they brought popsicles and played with our kids!!). Bathrooms were clean and showers were rustic but there was hot water and a really nice playground our children enjoyed. Really lovely customer service as well. Jamestown has so many lovely restaurants to explore also. It’s a very sweet and engaging community. After 12 hours on the road the well organized site and quiet campers plus the proximity to amenities made this place a haven for our weary family. Highly recommend.

This is a very nice and well-kept campground in a beautiful location. there is a bathroom/showers right in the middle and while the camps were full, the bathroom/showers were pretty much always clean and available. The campground is close to the reservoir (swimming/boating) and some hiking trails. We stayed in a cabin which we like doing. it is quiet inside and with 4th of July fireworks going off all around we could sleep undisturbed. the cabin has a fridge and air conditioner. no table or chair, which was weird. we enjoyed our stay and would come here again.

If you find their site via Google the photos don’t do it justice. It looks weird with night photos from a car headlights. That’s a shame as it’s a really lovely camp ground. lots and lots of trees. The sites are far enough apart that our conversation can’t be overheard easily, but close enough that if we had friends at the site next door it would be easy to share resources. It’s north out of the local town, and we arrived late at night. Also, we were there on a Wednesday, checking out on a Thursday and there were lots of spots available via the internet on Wednesday evening late, but the sites were getting full for the weekend. If you’re in this part of the world passing through or for another reason then this is worth a stop. Picnic table and fire circle, also very clean bathrooms

The lake here is nice and the campground and marina are close to each other, not too far out of town, and easy in and out. The RV park though was not a great experience, the spaces are super tight, and the time we were there it was really overcrowded. Multiple places to fish though if that's your jam, and it has a nice public beach (too cold on the day we were there)

Not good.
Passing through on cross country move. Visiting family nearby.
Sites sooo very close together. Unsupervised, very young children running everywhere. One almost ran into our truck on their bicycle, and then almost hit by a driver in another truck .
Hookups far from the gravel “pad” we were parked on. We had to park partially on grass so the power cord could reach.
We arrived on a Thursday and thought it was not great but it would do. By Friday it was packed and chaos everywhere.
Bathrooms not great. Shower not used due to black moldy areas .
Not a fan at all, but not sure there’s anything better nearby.

Lakeside Marina Campground was a great place to stay; clean and quiet. There were about 50 sites, most graveled, lots of them with shade. There were also 3 or 4 one room cabins you could rent. Not the easiest to get to since you have to zig & zag thru downtown Jamestown but definitely worth the effort vs the other closer campgrounds located right along the interstate. The lady that runs the marina & campground was very friendly & helpful when I called. She info'd me to turn left off highway 20 about 2 miles north of town just after the cemetery (think was 32nd Str SE), then go west a couple blocks til you see the campground entrance on the left. It's a small sign, so don't drive fast.
The marina is further down the road on the east side of Jamestown reservoir. (Note: the address was listed as 3225 Lakeside Road, but I think thats the address of the marina as our GPS was confused.) You can walk a path or drive over the the marina to register after you pick out your site. It is a full service marina (bait, tackle, gas, fishing licenses, etc) with a boat ramp, dock and public beach access nearby. I noticed inside the marina was a small grill where you could get breakfast & lunches. Not sure about dinners. Seems like breakfast was only on weekends?
Since it was mid-week and not crowded, we grabbed one of the cement sites close to the bath house. Most RV sites on the inside of the campground loop had electric & water; some on the outside did not. There was also a dump station. What appears to be a newer bath house had very clean showers, toilets and sinks. Each shower has rubber floor mats like KOAs and a separate curtained changing room. Took awhile for the water to get hot but the water pressure was great. There's also a handicapped shower located in a separate room by itself. There is a newer playground, bike paths, grills and firewood delivery. There was one station, FOX out of Fargo that came in on antenna TV that gave the weather for Jamestown.

We loved this clean, quiet campground just north of downtown Jamestown. Our site had water and 30 amp electric service for $25.00/night, a great value since the sites were spacious, level and shaded. Sites are gravel and ours was a back-in site although it appeared some are pull through. Other reviewers commented it's more difficult to reach this campground because you need to drive through downtown. Not true. Take Exit 262 which brings you around the side of Jamestown airport to avoid downtown traffic. The Jamestown Reservoir adjacent to the campground offers a very nice park and beach. We would definitely stay at this campground again.

Very nice campground. Trees, shower, bathrooms, and super close to the water - reservoir.
Quiet even though it was busy over the 4th of July.
It rained and the campground took it on well.
The fellow campers were kind and respectful
There was even an ice cream truck that cam through. We took advantage of that too
