So we went here along with friends and their children. We have 2, they summed up 3 so here we were, 6 adults and 5 children. It was a perfect holiday for the little ones, but one chore of big stress for us. But this wasn't the hotel's fault, that's simply how your life treats you if you decide to settle down and procreate :) REVIEW: THE BAD: - No free parking. - You have to have a huge amount of luck in order to find a PAYED parking spot. It costs 10 Leva / day. If you DO NOT find any payed spots, then you should head up to the nearest payed parking because the towing truck frequents the narrow one way street and is especially looking for ROMANIAN cars. They don't seem to be bothered by bulgarian vehicles, even though they park like arses. - All 3 outdoor pools close at 18:00. This is insane. They have some old communist lifeguard that compels you to exit the pool, even though it's clear midday and the water is perfect. For this I complained at the reception. THE MEDIOCRE: - booze quality isn't as bad as I found it in Turkey, but clearly lesser quality that Palma (Spain); - they served the non-eaten pizza / fries from lunch at the pool snack bar; - cannot have free drinking water after 23:00. Or so they have a poster on the water dispenser, but I took water whenever I wanted and nobody said a thing, this is why I won't mention it on THE BAD; - the seaview rooms aren't looking straight at the sea, more at the trees that lie between you and the sea; THE GOOD: - As I came to BG for the second time in 8 years, I am very proud to say that EVERYONE's english has dramatically improved ! You really can maintain a quality conversation with anyone from the staff. Congrats BG people ! - Kind personnel, except the lifeguard; they're nice, and smile, and offer help; they do not necessarily look for tips, like we got fed up with in Turkey; - Very clean place. Clean pool, clean rooms, clean sheets, tableware, glasses, everything. All nice and tidy. - The coffee is great at the lobby bar and the snackbar, but do not try the breakfast coffee because it absolutely stinks; - The food is not the fanciest but they cover the basics and then some more. Neither a vegetarian nor a meatatarian could go hungry, there's everything from anything to be had there: fresh veggies, soups, pizza, fries, mashed potatoes, lots of green stuff, fat stuff, boiled stuff, etc. What I did like was that on Wednesday they had some sort of themed dinner where they served clams (the mussel type). We absolutely ate our arses off, topped up about 3 plates each, it was fabulous. - The eating hours are quite tolerable, breakfast starts from 7:00 and it goes until about 10:00. Lunch finishes at about 14:00 but after 13:30 they start to shove you off your table. Dinner is also good timed, from 19:00 to 21:00. - The drinks are surprisingly variant, but in the restaurant / lobby you can only get soda / water / coffee, the spirits and the "good ones" are served only at the beach bar. - They provide some sort of animation, they have a very young animation team with very beautiful girls, they offer pool training and some entertainment shows on the outdoor mini-amphitheatre, but don't expect Broadway. - The kids seemed to infinitely enjoy the pools, the outdoor playing grounds, fries and icecream. - I heard that their doctor works with most of the insurance companies. WORDS OF ADVICE: - Ask for the 10 leva "shortcut bracelet", it offers access to the yard's backdoor and takes you straight to the street to the beach. You'll get the refund when you leave. - Don't forget about the parking. I mean it. Try to mail them in order to reserve a couple of spots before arriving, if they have the availability then they'll help you, provided you have the cash. - Pay attention to the stairs that head down to the back yard, they're VERY slippery; accidents happen almost daily there.…
We booked our summer holiday at Hotel Slavey for the 3rd year time consecutive. We really enjoyed our stay during the last 2 years and took the decision to come also this year. Main reason: very nice swimming pools area, lovely terasse, large rooms, very clean and white sheets, good and diverse food, animation team for kids. We noticed that also other families decided to come also again as we met some of the families from the last 2 years. Strongly recommended as you feel good at this Hotel and hotel stuff is very nice!!!! Raluca D.
We stayed 6 nights and it was a plesant experience. The animation team was very cheerfull with a daily schedule for kids and adults , food and drinks where ok , rooms where clean and the staff very toghtfull .
Very good hotel: nice, big and clean rooms, very comfortable beds, nice balconies with laundry rail for drying bathing suites and towels (extremely useful), tasty food, nice personnel (I also enjoyed that we got checked in early), clean pools. The only downside: although we only stayed for two nights, we would have expected our towels changed, but only the garbage was taken (also there were no leaflets in the room to instruct that towels should be left on the floor if you want them to be changed, so I suppose this was not the case). All in all, a very good stay.
We stayed 7 nights at Slavey , our room was at the 4th floor. Also my parents came along and their room was right next to ours. The service was very good, nothing to complain about, the rooms are exactly what you expect from a 4 star hotel. The variety of food is big and everything is fresh. For my father`s birthday the personnel left a bottle of wine in his room. There are 4 swimming pools, 3 outside and 1 indoor, gym, jacuzzi, ping pong, football and volley terrain, biliard table. We liked it very much.!Wi-fi is free and has good signal.Parking is not free but at least the care is secured.
