The hotel can improve many of its aspects. It does not have a beach area with sunbeds. It does not have an area to wash off the sand you come with from the beach. The apartment where we stayed has an old sofa with a metal support, on which you cannot sit for a long time. We were satisfied with the work of the housekeepers on the floor. The room was always clean. The lobby bar is unsightly, the sofas are old and broken, the tables are always dirty. Drinks are served in plastic cups. You must request a coffee cup or glass. The crowding that takes place at the service is unpleasant. The pool has a bar, but here all drinks are served in plastic cups, therefore you cannot serve a coffee, only if you want to drink microplastic. The cleaning part of the pool can still be worked on. The hotel is deficient on this side, of cleanliness. The windows at the entrance are always dirty. The weakest point of the hotel is the restaurant. The food is the same every day, and 90% is prepared from frozen or canned food. The tablecloths are unironed, unkempt appearance. You can drink quality coffee only in the morning, from a single machine, and here the congestion is very high.

Staff barely speaks both English and Russian, almost all high school kids, don’t treat customers with respect and are not helpful, except a few older employees. In 3 room apartment we got a 1 extra “fake” bed that got broken at night when one of my family member was sleeping. Queues everywhere. Bar closes at 10pm. Food is cooked like I was cooking when I was in 1st year in university. You can’t even get yourself water because apparently there is a person to press a button for you. Very easy to get corona in a country overal I believe because no mask requirement. Other things were better but bad things might weight more;)

A hotel of 50/50 opinion.
But i wont choose it again.
The reception staff is kind. No objection.
No free parking at the hotel and even so it is small and we had to search to park in other place. Every parking lot is of 20leva/day. If you park somewhere outside a parking lot, wont pass several minutes and your car will be evacuated, 50eu and you can have your car back)) so dont risk.
The pool, didnt like it. The water is clean but the rest is dirty and old.
The hotel is really old fashioned, good rooms are those that look at the beach and pool. Be sure when you make reservation so the room is with balcony.
The restaurant: it is mentioned that is 3 star (even the hotel is 4star) but i could give only 2 stars here. I am not a picky person but i never saw such a dirty restaurant. Always food on the floor and nobody cleans it, the tables dirty and sticky. The plates are dirty, the food is not tasty at all, i could eat only that dish that cant be messed up))) eggs, spagetti)) in the morning is totally everything the same, only the sweets are changing sometimes. From fruits in the morning: oranges and grapefruits. Evening: plums, peach, once grapes. From meat i could eat only chicken. So the restaurant per general is awful. Sorry but thats true.
The room was ok. Nothing special.
The only good thing of this hotel is the location, first line, not in the center where is very noisy but in 5min you can walk to the center.

We are staying at the hotel at the moment and it is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at first we were charged an extra £60 to move room they gave us a room overlooking a road when we should have had a garden view room. After moving one day the key on the door did not work had to get it fixed, then shower head was broken had to get that replaced, .
The food at mealtime is discussting, we have had to eat out most of the time, even the staff who are supposed to clean tables just stand around most of the time.
Now we are facing late night revellers coming in early hours of the morning.
My advice if you are looking for a nice holiday try another hotel. Can’t wait to go home

The staff were horrible, they had a sign in the restaurant saying it closed at 22:00, but one night while we where there, we arrived at the restaurant at 21:45 expecting it to be open but turns out they were packing up all the food, we didn't like the food but only wanted a snack (pancakes and bread).
Another restaurant staff was texting his mate and eating all the sausages and eggs, helping himself Infront of customers

It's supposed to have free Wi-Fi but there's actually little blind spots around the room, like the toilet, and the living room.

The restaurant manager followed me around the restaurant because I had some orange juice in my hand (it was supposed to be 3 lev.) So when I got back to my table my mum gave it back (like she can even pour it back into the machine). Who even pays for juice, that's crazy.

The pool next to the hotel was cool I liked it.

Do NOT go here.
-Olly

Food was cold and repetitive and unimaginative.
We found bread / rolls mouldy twice in the week we were there and we were on half board so we had staff management follow us to make sure we had no more than water to drink with our meals.
We often had to report to staff that food dishes were empty and needed topping up,
Young guy cooking the fried eggs etc was eating the sausages while serving us ...the rest of the staff walked around like zombies or on the phone , there was no customer service what so ever.
The rooms and beds were of a good size and comfortable, but like the rest of the hotel it was very dated.
The area as a whole is very dated and of need of an overhaul.
The strip that runs outside ( shops and restaurants etc ) are allso poor and in disrepair , staff walk around watching you like you're shop lifters and again most , but not all need lessons in customer services.
There were a few pleasant people, including customers but they were few and far between.
In summary.
If you just want somewhere to put your head, not a fussy eater and just want to enjoy the wonderful beach , sea and weather then you will be very happy there.
Would I recommend it or go back, definitely not

Hotel located in perfect point of Golden Sands - near the beach, far from most crowded and noisy part of promenade but still offering many shops and other attractions.

But location is their main strong point. Then starts to be only worse.

Personel friendly and helpful. In general speaking English, but not in 100%.

Rooms are some kind of time travel machine. We landed in early 90s. Clean but really need renovation.

Swimming pool clean, but small and crowded.

But the worst is their so-called restaurant. Finding there something that can be eaten requires huge effort.

To sum up - if you plan to spend all day on a beach and need only bed close to sea - this hotel is really OK. But if you expect more you can be disappointed.

Tv remonte not working. The pool on the roof closed. And most inportant and sad thing when you need help from TUIGermany no one is to reach.

Food is not great. Also if you don’t have all-in , you will not have any drinks with dinner, not even water or juice.
At the pool, snack bar didn’t work, so i don’t know why they have it.
Rooms where ok, nothing fancy. If you are from somewhere where smoking everywhere is not ok, then it might be little disturbing if some people smoke at their palcony and you are not smoker.
In bathroom water smells funny, but maybe it is Bulgarian thing, not sure.
But stuff is friendly and price is great.
Also if you are young… here’s a lot older people

Have just returned from 2 weeks at the Lilia HoteL. This was undoubtedly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in abroad. The maid service was excellent; rooms were spotless; and the food was good. Only criticism we have is no air conditioning in the dining room at breakfast time could be rather uncomfortable. The roof pool is a dream as long as the owner does not reserve half for his family's use for a month. Would return in a minute.
