We liked the hotel staff. We arrived at 5 am, Ekaterina was on duty at the reception, a very nice girl, she immediately offered us tea, and at 8 o’clock she gave us the keys to our room.
At the entrance to the restaurant, guests are greeted by Natasha, the morning begins with her smile, wishes for a bon appetit, and a good mood is guaranteed. I also liked Lena, the bartender in the lobby bar, always friendly, she recommended to us where to buy shoes. The food at the hotel is delicious, although some variety would be nice. A lot of fruits - apples, pears, plums, peaches, grapes, watermelon, bananas, oranges (we were on vacation at the end of August). What surprised us was ice cream in a package. We travel a lot, but this was the first time we saw ice cream in a package at a hotel. Next... The hotel is cleaned every day, not very thorough, towels and bed linen were changed once in 7 days. Shampoo and soap were only available on the first day. Minor shortcomings include a torn curtain in the shower and also torn sunbeds by the pool. A short way (5 min.) to the beach - steps immediately along the hotel fence (full of garbage), then walk 70 meters to the right and before the barrier turn left through the parking lot, at the end of which there are steps, go down, and there the beach is visible. The path without garbage is from from the hotel turn left to the highway and down, but it takes longer.

If you looking for a budget hotel it is the best for you. Also, you must not expect 4-star hotel. In the best condition, it is a top 3-star hotel. Breakfast served every morning and there was a cozy private pool in the hotel. Positive notice for Palma Hotel is proximity to the beach around5 minutes by walking. The free wifi available only around the pool (not in the lobby). I stayed here for 8 days and generally, I had a good vacation in Palma Hotel.
This hotel has many potentials to become a better place. But I think it is not a policy of hotel and their manager. Maybe they concentrated to attract budget travelers.

We stayed here for 7 nights. The location is good for walkers, 5 min far from bus station to varna 2 min to supermarket and 5 minutes to the beach. First of all the advantages, rooms are very clean and wide you can find a foyer a living room and a bedroom the staff were as supportive as they could be breakfast variety is acceptable but every day is the same and disadvantages, unsupportive night reception , room service was just limited to arrange the beds every day and cleaning the trashes , towels and blankets weren't changed for 7 days and the hair dryer was broken, obviously they were adding water to orange and apple juice every day. Finally every country has its own standards for their hotel facilities and you will feel the difference between bulgarian four star hotel with other countries standards.

Hotel is 2 star at best. How they have the audacity to claim 4 stars is beyond me. Horrendous. We stayed for a week all inclusive at the start of september 23 for my birthday. The hotel is very outdated, the food was very limited and cold/luke warm most nights, unfriendly staff made the vibe feel miserable, our bed was made daily but the bedsheets were never changed and the room was barely cleaned. They ran out of most soft drinks and alcohol at the very start of the week and didn't bother to restock, one day we filled our water bottles up and the "fresh water" tasted like chlorine. Upon trying to complain at the reception that we are all inclusive and couldnt order even a basic glass of wine, a sprite or a cocktail we were told the city was blocked and a delivery was due to arrive and that other guests had also complained. That was rubbish clearly, it was end of season and they just didn't bother to restock. The pool area was quite spacious and looked nice overall but the pool itself is ICE cold and the pool bar only opened for 2 hours on the 1st day we arrived and then never opened again. Some days they had a life guard other days he did not turn up. There was no option for beach towels either. We ended up having to go out most days/nights to get a hot meal and a drink. The hotel also offers no entertainment. I would never come back here and I wouldn't recommend it. I booked a "4 star hotel" and it was a massive disappointment. I travel a lot and have stayed in a lot of hotels around the world but this one was the worst. They took the absolute P and didn't seem to give a damn about it.

Instead of a room standard , are placed in an obscure room, similar to a hospital room not the best, tiled floor, not work outlets, with very small quadrature, old furniture, and smell of mold, because after rain somehow water and the whole floor and suitcases with things in the water (((
At the reception on good relocation failed, only after a stormy scandal we realize that the room is economical, and why for a week of stay I pay for a standard room with all the comfort and comfort, and live in a viper????

At the arrival the receptionist couldn’t find our reservations in their system and was quite confused about that. The atmosphere was very noisy during the day because of the traffic and during the night as the hotel is opposite to one of the night clubs with many drunken youngsters around the two entrances. The parking places – not enough, since the staff is parking their personal cars there is no more place for tourists. The pool area is very small for a hotel that big at least the sea was close. On the beach was very crowded and not enough place for my family with the 6 y.o. child. The food in the restaurant was good and tasty but did not have variety.
In general the hotel is not suitable for families with children.

This was our 3rd visit to Golden Sands and out 1st to this hotel. The hotel was very clean and new, The Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the bar man and the best cook in Golden Sands! A few things We loved about this hotel:- the pool has the sun all day it was very clean and peaceful. This hotel is a perfect base for couples as far enough away from the centre of the resort not to have the younger crowds. The hotel is child friendly and all the children quickly make friends. A really nice friendly hotel. with excellent staff and excellent services. perfect for the 30 -50 age group.

This hotel is close to the beach but they never have enough sunbeds and umbrellas. The rooms were clean, they clean them daily and we had clean towels every day. But the lobby and the hallways were really dirty. Also, the food was terrible.

My wife and i stayed at Palma from Sept.19 thru 26th,2019. We have traveled to more than 50 countries in the world,i dare to say this was the worst stay ever anywhere!!No maid service at all ,no fresh towels, only maids coming and empty trash bins which had nothing in them!!! after third day i was lucky to see them and got 2 fresh towels,no change of bed sheets during our whole stay!!!and the topper of it all ...No HOT WATER!i had to shave and shower only one day with warm water and the rest all cold water..4 star...far from it 1 is even too much..only fair thing was breakfast, weather was around 20 degrees C. all week...So please take my word and don't even think about staying here.
