That is very hard one,, but I will say my honest opinion as usual, I stayed at Riviera Beach Hotel & SPA 5 nights , first experience wasn’t pleasant, when I sent a message that my flight arrive 3 am (12 hours before checking in and obviously 12 hours after checking in time 😀) so we can have some kind of deal ( the hotel was absolutely empty!) they rejected to help and asked to book another night which I did and it was 20 pound more 😳🤯. I asked Hotel.com they said prices are out of our control! 🤔. Anyway being there for all inclusive or B&B I have seen nothing! Only a cheese sandwich after 10 am (are you serious!!) the Riviera asked me to book extra night because my flight arrives 3am ! But they couldn’t make breakfast 🤯and the Sauna not working 😃!! That is by all means not a 5 stars hotel!! . The hotel have a great beach and lovely pool . It is 10 minutes walk to golden sand in a quiet dead dark area ! So if you looking for stay in romance holiday 👍

We initially planned to stay at Riviera two weeks, starting at the end of August, but ended up staying for almost a month. Overall we had an excellent time. The views are fantastic, and every room overlooks the glittering pools and beach and the Black Sea, and at night it is very peaceful listening to the waves rolling along the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially as we got to know them more personally during our stay. The restaurant was a great pleasure, featuring several main courses (generally chicken, sausages, etc.), pasta, a salad bar, a full desert bar, ice cream, etc. Breakfast was not our favorite, and we generally only had coffee or a light breakfast in the morning, but we very much looked forward to lunch and dinner. The spacious swimming pools were great fun, and there is also a sizeable indoor pool for use during inclement weather. Doughnuts and drinks were served poolside, though cocktail selection was limited. The gym is small and gets a bit hot in the sun. The animation (i.e. activities) team was excellent, especially for us since they provided activities and child care for our daughter several hours a day. At night there were also music, dance, and other activities. Room cleaning did not happen every day, but was thorough and friendly and certainly frequent enough. The location is excellent. Riviera has its own beach and forested property, and we walked through the paths to the main Golden Sands beach festivities most days. We look forward to returning, and highly recommend.

I spent 3 days of horror between August 19-22. The rooms are cleaned only at the express request and after many insistences, the common spaces are not sanitized, the restaurant staff wears a mask under their noses, the dishes are not washed properly, the staff at the beach bar are arrogant and unqualified. throughout the stay I felt unwanted there, both me and my 4 friends, They made no effort to make me feel on vacation. The manager is poorly prepared and without solutions to our frequent complaints. I am 51 years old and it is the worst experience I have had. The claims and claims of 5 stars and the pictures no longer represent reality, it is far below the standard. I do not recommend!

We booked this hotel for 2 weeks, which gave us a good opportunity to experience the service and the facilities. Hotel: The hotel is not super modern. When it was new, it was probably were modern and fancy, but now it feels a bit run down. We don’t think this hotel is a five star, maybe a three star. If you are expecting a five star hotel like you are used to, this can’t really be compared to the standard. Hotel room: all of the rooms have a fantastic sea view! The beds are ok, but if you are a couple and want a double bed you will get two beds putted together. The bathroom is also ok. Functional and clean. Restaurant, bar, poolbar with snacks: We decided to go for the “all inclusive” that the hotel offered . Breakefast, lunch and dinner is buffe. The breakfast was ok. Some of the dishes dident have any taste, and mostly often tasted weird. The lunch was a bit better then the dinner, but the meet that they are serving is not good at all. The taste made us nauseous. NB: the buffe is also very loud, and it is a lot of families and kids staying on this hotel. This means that you have to deal with the crying, running and screaming from the kids while eating in the buffe. It’s absolutely not a romantic place for a couple to eat and you will not get the kind of calm while you eat there. The pool bar offers drinks like beer, soft drinks, water and cocktails. It was a bit disappointing that they dident offer fresh juice. The juice they served tasted more like Fanta with wather. The poolbar with snack offered donuts, sandwich, ice cream and hotdog. Everything in this bar is white bread, sugar and more sugar. The hotdog and the sandwich does not taste any better than the buffe either. Luckily the resort has other restaurants like Oasis just 50 meters from the Rivera Beach hotel buffe and Imperial 300-400 meters. Varna has also many good restaurants. It was a bit sad that the buffe in our hotel was bad and not eatebal. We therefore recommend not go for the all inclusive and just stick to the included breakfast and use your money on other restaurants. Staff: Mostly everyone of the staff try their best to be friendly and to give you the best service. Unlucky there are some of the staff in this hotel that shouldn’t work in the hotel business at all. Maybe the leaders of the hotel should give the staff more training so that they can secure good service. Area/beliggenhet: we think that this hotel has the best spot of them all! The beach is private, and only the guest of the hotel can stay here. There is a free zone on both sides of the private beach, but it’s still 50 times better, cleaner and calmer and less people here than the beach outside of the resort.

Arrived at hotel at 4am and was greeted with sandwiches and fruit for the family. Good start but then it went downhill. I had to go up and down the elevator 5 times because the key card to the room didn't work. When we finally got into the room, the children's bed was not made so I had to call down for sheets and make it myself. Bed was a fold out sofa and the cushions were filthy, luckily there were spare pillow cases that I could use to cover them up. After a few hours sleep, we went to explore and have lunch, when we got back to the room, it was made but all the used plates and cups were left in the room, quite astounding for a "5 star" hotel. Worst part about the whole experience was the fact that the air conditioning unit leaked water all over my rucksack and damaged a number of electrical items that were in there. After notifying the Manager, she gave us complimentary late check out and we agreed that they would replace anything that was not salvagable when I had a chance to check everything back home. After testing everything, I emailed the hotel but got no reply. After another 2 emails and giving them 3 months opportunity to resolve the issue, I still have not heard from them. So in summary, if you would like a holiday where you can enjoy great facilities and fantastic weather but don't care about whether you receive good service or not, Riviera Beach is the hotel for you.

Stay away from this hotel, they're deceptive. Food are disgusting 🤢 tasteless. The hotel was not a five star, I booked a 5star and they put us in a 2star. I am very disappointed. The manager was very ignorance and unhelpful, manager threatened us, called a police and I swore at him. Police came and the police were on our side and told us to go back in the sunbed to enjoy the rest of our day. Yet manager George threatened me in front of the police two police officers saying that the I will be restricted to go on holiday in the whole of golden sand, WHAT? RIGHT THERE I HAD A GREAT WORDS WITH THE MANAGER/GEORGE IN FRONT OF THE POLICE AS THE POLICE OFFICER HAD TO STOPPED GEORGE, and again the police asked to go in the sunbed to enjoy and relax. The manager treated us like a kids, I won't allowed that, manager should never argue but find a solution. The whole stay was a disaster, after the police resolution, the manager and the security 💂 followed us in the complex and because it 12 midday already and want us to check out, they treated us like a fugitive where we understand our limitations. They want us to pay extra if we were to exceed we understand that and told in their faces that they "MONEY FACE". Manager George was horrible, unhelpful and lack of customer satisfaction SKILLS. we want a compensation for all the hassle the riviera resort has been put us through. Very disappointed. Please s I sort it out. Respectfully Yours, Lee

We stayed at this hotel 6 days together with family and friends. Pros: the food was good you can choose from a variety of foods. The hotel is at the beach so you don’t need to take a long walk to the beach. There are 3 outside pools from which you can choose. The rooms have seaview. The rooms were clear. Contras: When we arrived we needed to pay extra charge for the parking, this wasn’t included int the price when we made the reservation. One family made their reservation a few days after we did, and we coulnd’t eat togerther because they needed to eat in the other part of the hotel. We coulnd’t get any sunbeds in the sand or near the pool because a lot of the guests put their towels on the beds and they were sitting in the hotel... There was a store in the hotel which wasn’t open at the mentioned hours. The staff is not speaking english and they weren’t kind at all...

(+): Location, surroundings, room interior, food variety, Katerina (most helpful), SPA specialist Rumi (a real 5* services expert). (-): 1. Cleaning. Not cleaned for 8 days: floor in room, bathroom, balcony, bed linens. After asking repeatedly, just towels changed, toilet paper&soap&shampoo added, sink washed. Had to search for toilet paper by myself. Windows in the room are so dirty (seems they weren't cleaned this season or even the one before). Lot of spots on the bed linen&towels when arrived. Rubbish in elevator&corridors untouched for days. Sticky floor in the restaurant. The smell in the bathroom right next to the restaurant is like in unpaid public toilet. 2. A lot of staff - sad. Probably because of some working conditions. 3. Sometimes quality of food (rotten fruits&hairy ducks&spoiled canned fruits&small pieces of crashed bones in meet, etc.) 4. Someone constantly smokes in SPA. How can it be in a 5* stars and in any hotel? It's first time in 20+ years of my traveling experience (~100 hotels) I see such a mess. It seems that the front desk people are the only one feeling guilty about it and trying to do something about it. When is the last time the general manager came out of the office to really check what is going on everywhere in the hotel? Just cutting costs, counting profits and future bonusses? Does the shareholder know what damage could be done for the value of hotel when none of those who had ever experienced a real 5* service will come back to this hotel?

Wrote a review and realised a mistake in my first review- It's the lady in Riviera 2 bar who was lovely. But while I'm on I will add photos of room cleaning on days 2, 5 and 6 after cleaners had supposedly been, and a few more bits. There was no distinction when booking as to whether you were going to be in Riviera 1 or 2. Make sure you ask for 1. Leave towels hanging up. If you leave them by the sink they will be covered in ants in the morning. Don't bother complaining as no complaint is acted on.
