Detailed Reviews
me and my family stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of august 2023 and we were unpleasantly surprised by it. we booked two rooms because we are 4 adults. the rooms have nice furniture, good ac, nice balconies but they weren’t cleaned enough by any means. the nightstand had dust on it, the sink was not cleaned properly and we could see the water that evaporated and left marks on it, the closet was placed in a weird spot and we had to stay on it at an angle because we couldn’t fit sitting straight on it (this situation happened in one of the rooms, that was at the corner of the hotel - 630 - probably the same story for 530,…). we had booked an ultra all inclusive and the food was rather disappointing. you had some salads to choose from, some fruit and then about 10 things for the main course: garnish and main dish. if you are not that picky it should probably be enough, but we’ve stayed in 3 starts hotels in bulgaria that had better food options. the beach was really nice, so was the pool area, the bar at the pool was a nice touch and the guys working there (and at the other bars in the hotel as well) were nice and rather professional. what wasn’t so professional was the reception personnel. there were, i think, 2 men and 2 women working there. they were not welcoming by any means and one of the girls didn’t even speak english properly. in a 5 star hotel? it happened that she was there the day we arrived (thursday) and i went to ask about the à la carte dinner and all she said was that i had to make the reservation one day previous to the dinner. on saturday, i went to the reception to make the reservation for sunday just to be told by one of the men there that they do the à ma carte dinner on friday and saturday and the places were all taken for that saturday and so like this we couldn’t have it since we were supposed to leave next thursday. the towels were nice and of good quality, but the cleaning lady never cleaned our room. we selected the ‘clean my room’ option on the screen of the room but she never did, she sometimes would forget to leave water in the room and if we were in the room when she came, she wouldn’t clean the room that day. she would just go to other rooms.

The hotel is quite ok, needs some refurbishment, especially the bar area. Rooms are large and comfortable, with balcony facing the sea, but general feeling in the rooms is oldish, 1980s style.
Very nice pool, one of the pool attendants is not at all aware of what customer service means. Beach is nice, lots of waves when I was there.

Unbelievable that this hotel has 5 stars, three is more appropriate.
Pros:
Nice hotel, nice rooms, good location, nice view. We were allowed to keep the room for a few hours after check-out time without paying.
Cons:
The food is downright bad. It is mostly cooked and almost the same every day. I think that there are no good chefs working there, because I often wondered how you can ruin good food like that. The late breakfast consists of the leftovers from the early breakfast.
Of the 10 questions that you ask the desk staff, they do not know how to answer 8 times. If you ask to speak to the manager, it is noted, but the manager does not contact you. For five days we asked for a make-up mirror, which is in the photos, but was not in the room. Finally that mirror arrived after those five days.
The wellness is mentioned in the booking, but it is not included in ultra all inclusive. Never experienced anything like this before, so there were no guests in the wellness.
There is a separate terrace, where you get coffee in a cup without a saucer. After 22:00 you have to pay for the same coffee from the same machine, but then you do get a glass cup and a saucer. What contempt for the all-inclusive guests!
At 24:00 the restaurant closes without saying anything to the people on the terrace. Then the door is suddenly closed, a "Good night" is apparently not possible. Moreover, the same music every night, very annoying.
One woman can decide that you cannot get foreign spirits after 22:00, although the rule is after 24:00. Complaining to the reception is pointless, the bar is apparently outside the organization.
At the swimming pool, which is beautiful but unfortunately is in the shade almost the entire day, I was woken up one day by the life guard with a tap against the lounger, with the word "Finished!". Never experienced this before.
Ten years ago this was a high class hotel, but that is no longer the case. I suspect bad management.

We stayed here during Corona, July 2020. I liked that the staff was so kind and polite. The biggest problem i had was with the food. It was simply uneatable! We had halfboard and a horrible stomach-ache during all the time we stayed there ! One member of the family is vegan but there were no vegan options!!! Neither for breakfast nor dinner. Every single course had meat in it, including the salads and everything seemed to be either badly cooked or spolied. Definnetly not an option if you have small children traveling with you! Our rooms were cleaned only once during the 4 nights we stayed here and that is because we tipped the cleaning lady! Unacceptable! The sleeping conditions were awful, as well! I will never forget the back-ache i had.
The pool was nice and clean enough but that was to be expected as the hotel was only 1/4 full.
All in all a 3 stars experience maximum and if the price seems atractive for a beach front hotel I would recommend booking a stay here without dinner included!

I encountered problems with the admiral hotel, respectively:
1) for a minimum of 5 nights booked, receive a dinner at the a la carte restaurant (OLD HOUSE restaurant)! We were given meal vouchers at the a la carte restaurant for 20:00, but from the a la carte restaurant we were told that we had to get to 18 not 20, which is why they shouted at us (swear words in Bulgarian ) and we were told that if we did not agree to go to another restaurant in the conditions in which we could not do this, because our vouchers were for that restaurant, OLD HOUSE! Also, we did not have places reserved on the beach according to the offer, if you catch well, if not, NO! However, if you feel like a scandal on vacation, you solve something .. I had to argue with the person in charge of the sunbeds on the beach so I can get a sunbed .. I showed him all the vouchers for each day to I prove to them that I have been staying here for 4 nights and in 5 days I could not stay a day on the beach as it was always FULL, given that what was said happened at 7:00, at 9:00 it was already late! That's the only way I received what was promised in the offer, it's not normal !! Regarding what happened at the restaurant, they apologized, they tried to apologize to the people at the restaurant saying that they were shouting at each other but in fact the lady at the bar shouted directly at me in Bulgarian and after talking Mr. from reception with the manager I was told to go back or eat at the hotel restaurant but I refused given the way the restaurant staff behaved a la carte and, implicitly, I avoided the risk of doing something to eat. It is not normal the situation created considering that this benefit was included in the offer. I was apologized for being crowded but that's not our problem, however I waited more than 45 minutes !! After 45 minutes to say I can go somewhere else ... shame! Also another problem encountered was the behavior of employees, especially the ladies who serve in the restaurant .. they have a little more and it bites your ear! They claim to know Bulgarian when you ask them for food ... they don't know an international language! All in all, accommodation Ok, pool Ok, extremely poor services! All inclusive means breakfast, lunch and dinner and as alcoholic beverages: a bad wine (white, red, pink, it doesn't matter) and draft beer. Otherwise, you have to pay everything! Note 5!

Always loved visiting the cafe at Hotel Admiral, tends to be a daily visit when in the resort. Yesterday we took a seat as requested but after 30 minutes no one had come to take our order so we left (it wasn't busy). Then today we went again, ordered 2 latte and 2 cakes of the day. 3 times we had to repeat the order because the waitress kept forgetting which coffee we ordered. The cakes and coffees arrived and we were given 2 macchiatos and 2 cakes. I told her the coffee was wrong and her response was an abrupt it's what you ordered. We didn't want to make a scene so ate the cake and asked for the bill. She slapped a ticket down 33 lev. My husband gave her 50 lev as it was the smallest he had (only cash accepted) her response was I can't give you change as I don't have any. 😡 I was livid by now with her attitude but said nothing, my husband told her to keep it, what were we supposed to do argue and cause a scene. Disgusting service, we won't be back.

The only plus of this hotel is the location, it is placed right in the center of the station.
Disadvantages: the cleaning is not done properly, since the beginning the bathroom was very dirty, the food was not various, we had only 3 types of dishes to choose from having an all inclusive sejour, the soda was under key, we needed to speak with a waiter to unlock the soda recipient, pour a glas of soda, and lock it again, the personnel didn't speak english at all and had a hostile attitude toward the tourists, not welcoming at all.
Overall, the hotel was the worst choice for our holiday.

Great location horrible service.
minuses
- I paid 30 leva per day for parking
- I asked for a cot for the child, I didn't receive it
- we asked for water and milk for the baby to have in the room, we were sent to buy it
- we asked for an ice coffee at the bar and even though we had ultra all inclusive they asked us for money
- I asked to speak to the manager and they laughed in my face
- room cleaning once a week
- we had to go to the maids to ask them for toilet paper and shower gel
- on the beach you would go to the table and find your deck chair occupied.
Truly a missed vacation.
This hotel is full of Romanians who are used to being humiliated for their money.

The main problem is that they are lying in their offers. There is no such Ultra All Inclusive - is a big lie, by having only 2 whiskey international as extra and all the rest are local and very poor quality
Inclusing the coffee needed to be paid. The includer coffee was not drinkable
Wine - very poor quality
Ro
Calitate foarte proastra la bauturi, am platit Ultra All Inclusiv si a. Primit cea mai ieftina varianta de All Inclusiv. Personalul foarte nepoliticos

It is an excellent 5 stars resort on Golden sands. The management is doing great job. All the staff is hard working and going above and beyond to satisfy the guest’s needs. The food is excellent, the pool and the beach are amazing. Special “thank you” to the manager Zlatin Kostadinov, who is professional and quick to respond to any inquiries. Great vacation.
