We came to stay here as a couple during the English half term. On arrival staff were friendly and the entrance to the hotel/ reception area was lovely. The location is great, the shops and bars are literally over the road which is handy and the beach is within a 5 min walk. Not a lot of the shops were open when we first arrived and it was quiet, but by the end of the week it was heaving and all the shops were open. Apparently the season starts in June. The hotel… There are 3 lifts to service 8 floors and you can’t fit more than 2 people in at a time. This was frustrating given the amount of people in the hotel. The hotel shouldn’t be 4*, it’s dated but it’s clean and the rooms are big. The pool is very small and there are few sunbeds so don’t expect to be able to spend the day by the pool unless your up at 5am putting your towels out. There was no entertainment on an evening, we were told by staff they don’t bother because it’s too early in the season. They did however play music 9-10pm in an downstairs room which we were invited too. The view from the hotel would be lovely from the top floors but if your lower down your view will be the supermarket and strip bar. If your room is at the front of the hotel then expect to hear the noisy German bars all day and most of the night. The majority of the guests in the hotel are Romanian or German so there is obviously a language barrier with staff, I don’t think they are rude I think they struggle with the English language which is understandable. Those Bulgarians than can speak English are very friendly. The staff are however overworked and this is evident particularly at the bars and restaurant which brings me onto my next point. The restaurant is small and no where near big enough for all the guests. People will have plates of food in their hands with nowhere to sit, the food is average but I can’t really complain about it because I never went hungry. In summary, the area of golden sands is lovely and we would return here maybe later in the season. The beach is clean and well maintained but the sunbeds cost around 12 lev each, 12 lev for the parasol and 3 lev each for the cushion, for us as a couple cost about £20. They do however have small free areas on the beach. The walk along the sea front is lovely and the shops are plentiful. We wouldn’t stay in this hotel again though. It will be awful in high season when it’s full.

Good basic hotel, you get what you pay for. A little tired looking but clean. Staff experience varied, reception very unhelpful, one member of staff even answered a text message whilst dealing with a query! Reception tried to overcharge for a telephone call. Staff at lobby bar miserable. Some staff need a course in customer service. However, the cleaner on our floor (8) was amazing together with the ladies in the piano bar. Food, mediocre, you won't starve but will be sick of pork and chicken and the same salad stuff by day 4! Alcoholic drinks watered down. Location, right on the seafront with lovely views, however, you will feel like you are in the middle of a rave for 20 hours of the day as the two nearby beach bars compete to break the sound barrier and are so loud that even with the double glazed patio doors shut you can still it as clear as a bell. End part of the holiday ruined by the arrival of large group of German men, loudly singing and chanting and thinking it was ok to scream and shout from the balcony at 5am. Probably not the best choice of hotel if you want to relax.

While the spa and overall hotel structure were satisfactory, my friends and I were extremely disappointed with the numerous issues we encountered, including: - Lack of food: Despite having paid for a full board stay, we were not provided with snacks during our first day at the hotel. When inquired with the front desk team and waited for a long time for some food, was told that the oven was broken. - Broken AC: Both of our room's air conditioning was not working, and when we asked about it, we were informed that the main AC was broken. This made our stay extremely uncomfortable and difficult. -Inappropriate behaviour of staff: The bar staff tried to charge for a bottle even though us being on an "all-inclusive" offer, and the manager made a xenophobic comment about Romanians, blaming them for the lack of food issues. Which made us feel uncomfortable and offended. This is not acceptable behaviour from hotel employees, and it created a hostile environment for guests who may be from diverse backgrounds. - No many food options for vegetarians, no food option available outside meal time - not even a snack machine or snacks in the room freezer. - Pool bar was closed - despite it was saying on booking and last minute that would be available. Which made us have to go upstairs every time we want something. - Cold indoor pool -Flooding bathroom: Every time we used the main shower, the bathroom floor flooded, making it difficult to use the facilities. Furthermore, when we approached the front desk to complain about these issues, we were met with a rude and unhelpful attitude. This only added to our frustration and disappointment. As a paying guest, I expect a certain level of service and comfort during my stay. Unfortunately, your hotel fell far short of these expectations. I hope that the staff take these concerns seriously and take steps to ensure that these issues are not repeated in the future.

Worse place ever. The rating should be downgraded from 4 stars to 1 star. We paid an all inclusive 3 day package and all we got as main meal was frozen vegetables and bread battered onion rings and low quality fish fingers. When they brought the one tray with the lowest quality chicken meat, it was raw. The soup looked like left overs from the night before skinless sausages. The few pictures below don't need any comments. Take your money and spend it somewhere else. You deserve better, than this fals advertising with bells and whistles.

First of all I would like to say that we had a lovely time. This was a family holiday and the entertainment team really made my daughter happy. She loved the discos and the shows. Our room was on the 7th floor and it was cleaned well and the views of the sea were amazing. A few not so good points Double bed was two singles not the best Bad Smell from bathroom Decor tired and carpets worn/dirty Not a 4 star. Looks modern from outside but all inclusive only includes local spirits/beers and soft drinks. Cocktails chargeable Pool area dirty needs modernising. Never seen anything cleaned with jet wash. Sun beds and mattresses dirty. Area to over crowded Indoor pool not heated advertised in correctly !! Restaurant staff miserable and never smile. No interaction serious staff training required Hotel is more suited to Germans/Romanians. Nothing in English Reception staff and bar staff were lovely aswell as cleaners Good repetitive and best is taken as soon as it’s put out. Not the best. No kettle in room or English tea Lifts not enough and slow Music from bars on beachfront can be loud

Just returned after a 7 night stay. Slight snag list as follows: Shower broken and flooding shelf and wall in bathroom. Maintenance called. No action taken. No explanation. Shower curtain not screen. Would expect more in 4 star. Bed wasn’t a double. Split in middle so not very romantic! Hairdryer broken in two places. Just about useable. Bathroom door scraping on floor tiles. Mouldy fruit on 2 days on buffet and grapes on the turn. Rock hard kiwi fruit inedible. ‘Heated’ indoor pool not heated and colder than the outdoor one. Staff hardly smile. Entertainment poor. Loud pool music. Long wait for 3 elevators for 8 floors. No pastry shop as described just cake and ice cream in the afternoon. Morning snack a tray of biscuits. Gym equipment ancient. Other areas tired. Piano bar had smell of bleach …permanently. Huge beach area near hotel but only useable if you pay 24 lev min. Very small and crowded free public beach area. Pool area not as clean as could be. No cleaning of poolside in evidence. Wifi connection non existent in room. Only by the door. We put a chair there. Other than the above we a great time! The view from the room was lovely. Nice large room. Food on the whole very acceptable. Best food put out early. If late for meals best items gone and not replenished. Not as described!

I just had the best massage ever by a masseur called Evo/Ivo...sorry about the spelling. It was at Hotel Marina right next to the arrogance music factory/club. He was so professional, funny, and an absolute magician with his hands. He cares about what the client wanted and knew where all the muscles were and how to relieve all the tension in them. It costed 120 levs, I got the basic Turkish 'rub' in a steamed room and then a full body massage. It's for 95 minutes and totally worth it. They are so nice, I went from a different hotel. It has a very professional layout which I would have expected to have cost me a lot more. You can get a face mask and extras at like 20 or 30 lev more. I would recommend it to everyone and would have gone back if I wasn't leaving today.

The hotel had relatively good references and we booked it. To be fair, the staff was nice and attended all our requests, the room was cleaned every day and it had a breathtaking view, the food was great. BUT, the hotel is worn out, it has many issues, such as dirty carpets, bad smell in the bathroom, low quality TV, bad wifi, no private beach, the all in is not really all in as you had to pay for snacks and you can only have drinks that are on tap (not sure what are they), the hotel animations was awful, blasting music, the main person harassing guests with comments, we saw many drunk tourist at the pool and in the restaurant.
