We have been to WCWL twice - once in summer 2013 and again in August 2016. We had fun the first time and an even better experience the second. The resort seemed to be in even better repair the second time. A quick review: ROOMS: In 2013 we had a room in the adjacent cabin building, with balconies but no...

On approaching the WCWL, the buildings and car parking has the appearance of cabins in the woods rather than the hotel style accommodation we were expecting from the website. The welcome at reception was nice and we were shown around the lodge by one of the team members. I think at this point having someone take our bags to our...

Thank-you for your review. TripAdvisor has given us the privilege to take recommendations from our guests but still allowing us to educate our future guests. We would just like to point out we are not a 5 star resort, we are a 3 star for all of our amenities. Valet and baggage service is not something we offer nor is...

The West Coast Wilderness Lodge was our "big splurge" on a two week trip that we took to BC. It certainly has many positive attributes and much that we did enjoy. Overall however, we have to say that we were underwhelmed given the $1200+ cost of our 2 day package. The biggest positive is the setting - I think that...

We stayed here for two nights as part of our West Coast and Wilderness Tour. We had a garden side room, which was well appointed and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant one night for dinner and enjoyed an excellent breakfast there as well. The view from our tables, one of which was outside was wonderful. The food was...

I booked out the entire lodge for the long weekend in July for my wedding and it was the worst experience of my life. Not only is the staff completely unresponsive and unhelpful, but a majority of my guests complained they had been over or mis-charged. They were constantly bullying us to spend more money on food and activities. They...

We worked with this woman for over four months and most likely had over three hundred emails. We have never worked with such a person ever and do not wish to ever have this experience again. How could someone write to everyone in the world it was the worst day of her life!? Everyone else had the time of their...

During our 3 day "special occasion" package we had a bit of bad luck on the way there (our truck broke down) and their staff went out of their way to come pick us up and drove an hour out of their way to drop us off at a bus stop to get us home after our stay. I can't...

How surprising and hurtful to hear this review one month after the wedding . During the weekend of the wedding there was nothing but positive feedback and praise. The guests also gave the staff the most positive feedback, so many of them coming from Australia and New York. Lodge staff commented on the frequency with which the guests complimented the...

We had a wonderful three day stay under the Explorer Package. The most friendly staff we have had the pleasure of knowing in years. Fantastic tasty dinners and breakfasts and 2 very enjoyable excursions. The 2 hr kayak and 4 hr zodiac excursions were great. Kudos to both guides. The excursions are included in the package as well as dinners...

From the moment we were greeted at checkin to our very reluctant checkout, we were awed by this spectacular place. Of course, the stars of WCWL are the views, but it's so much more. It's quiet and relaxing but also has awesome food and service. We enjoyed 3 scrumptious meals here, and our servers could NOT have been nicer. the...

I was especially impressed with Captain Kev! Very personable and punctual and efficient. Recommended for all my friends, the accommodations were very comfy and service was near opulent.... but I had the most fun and saw the most scenic and beautiful of British Columbia`s sunshine coast. MUST VISIT, FOR SURE!!

Had a wonderful experience from check-in to check-out - room, view, meals, staff, excursions - definitely returning! And this from someone who lives not far away! The natural beauty of the setting is awesome and the ocean views are staggering - one of the truly beautiful locations in the world.
