Superb place to stay, right at the edge of the water at Port Renfrew, I'd class it as somewhere between a very high end hostel and a six star hotel..very comfortable without being overly fussy, chilled out with log stove, good kitchen, decent wifi, pool table, lovely setting on sea shore...good value, worth getting breakfast from Bonnie at the lodge..short... This is a large B&B (it can sleep 30) right on the shores of the Port San Juan on the western shore of Vancouver Island that has a large common area and smallish bedrooms. It has a beautiful view of the San Juan, and Bonnie cooks wonderful breakfasts. And, Bonnie gave us good directions of local walks. We did enjoy... More

Wonderful lodge with private rooms. Great for large parties to rent the entire lodge or folks wanting to socialize with others by renting one room only. Private bathroom in each suite. Very clean, delicious breakfast, with easy access to sandy beach right off the balcony. Big shout out to Tawnie's catering who also provided a fantastic catering to the wedding... More

We didn't have reservations in Port Renfrew so we took the advice of a local & found this out of the way lodge. Friendly staff, clean, little room with a kitchenette, 2 comfortable futons for beds. View of the strait. Walk on beach with private access. They supply a wonderful breakfast, and made the rhubarb bread that we had, into... More

Arriving with Outward Bound Canada, Big Fish Lodge proved the perfect place for us to come back to reflect, relax, and warm up after a day spent outside with kids from the community. Bonnie, the owner, went out of her way to meet all of our needs and more. With comfy beds, a large and cozy common area, wifi, an... More

Stayed here for a week and liked the relaxed atmosphere. It is right on the beach with an excellent view. Breakfast is available for those early fishing trips, and kitchen is open to cook yourself supper, make lunches. There is a pool table and ample seating. A great place to get away form it all and enjoy nature.

We drove to Port Renfrew to stay at a Airbnb, but that wasn't what we expeted. Instead we drove to the lodge and we were very happy that they had vacancy. They were very friendly and showed us the rooms, so we could choose which one we liked. The room was clean, had an amazing view and good breakfast was... More

We booked the whole lodge for 24 of us for a full weekend on my 40th. It was absolutely perfect - lots of room to connect or to have private space, a huge communal kitchen, and amazing beach literally right outside. Bonnie was the perfect host, and whipped up spectacular breakfasts. This place is a real treasure.
