A special place - a peaceful setting with mountain top views, the feel of the coastal environment, quiet, unique. The dinner was excellent: locally sourced. Breakfast included. Comfortable top quality bedding. Staff is prompt in responding to enquiries and requests.

The Soule Creek Lodge is growing in stature, helped by being set in the Tall Tree Capital of Canada. The views are great, and the nearby tours to Avatar Grove, the San Juan Spruce and Botanical Beach are among the best in Canada. The rooms are comfortable, the staff super-friendly and the yurts are a real experience. But the best... More

My boyfriend and I visited there as a birthday present. We stayed in one of the yurts and we loved it. The breakfasts were amazing and everyone who worked there was really nice and had great advice about where to visit and what to do while we were there. Tip: if you stay there, have at least one dinner. So... More

We booked one night in a yurt. The yurt was very well furnished with a very comfy bed, chests of drawers, couch and outdoor furniture on our private deck. Unfortunately we stayed during the first big fall storm of the year but that is just the way it goes on the west coast. Dinner was excellent. The chef expertly took... More

This place is special: The yurts are a really unique way of spending the night and make for a totally cosy place. We enjoyed to wake up with the sunlight shining through the open dome and the rooms provided a high standard of comfort, even more than we expected. We didn't have any issues with noise and enjoyed feeling in... More

Me and wife stayed in the Cheewhat yurt for 2 nights. Unfortunately the one full day we were there, it was raining heavily. So we just lay in the yurt all day. Everything u need was in the yurt. Shower, toilet, kettle with coffee and tea supply, hot water, electricity, huge bed and an awesome sky window! From 8-9.30am they... More

We stayed two nights in a room in the main house and really enjoyed it. The room itself was cozy and clean with a comfortable bed and a great view. We had a small balcony to enjoy the view. Breakfasts were good (perhaps a little toast on the side would have been great to the eggs) and one night we... More

Our accommodation was in a sizeable, sturdy, well appointed yurt with an ensuite bathroom. The stunning view from the front is of the Juan de Fuca Strait and mountains of the west coast of Vancouver Island. The food is locally sourced and specially cooked to perfection.

Would have loved a yurt..got to peek into one and it was so cool. Great views too. But stayed in a room in the lodge instead - a bit cheaper and think they were fully booked. The highlight was the amazing meal!! Fresh caught salmon and halibut, two kinds of rice, salad and chocolate mousse cooked by international chefs -... More

Beautiful view. We stayed in a small yurt in August. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Our stay included breakfast which was delicious! The yurt was very tidy and clean as well as the bathroom and shower. The shower could've been a bit warmer and a stronger stream of water would've been nicer. The only other issue we had... More

Thank you for your review. I'm guessing that you stayed in the little yurt. This is our most simple and affordable yurt. As such it does have a small hot water heater. As for the road yes it is gravel with inclines. WE do however get all kinds of cars from mini's to SUV's. And most people are driving rentals.... More
