For me the location is perfect - close enough to both Old Massett and Skidegate on Haida Gwaii (formally known as the Queen Charlotte Islands) that I can stay in one location and visit both communities.
The kitchen/dining area is friendly and welcoming as it should be in most homes with comfortable seating for breakfast, or just having a great cup of coffee and conversation with your hostess. Friends and neighbours drop in and guests are made to feel as part of the family when they do. Cacilia is an excellent cook, so plan on accepting her standing offer to stay for dinner at least one night, but let her know at breakfast time so she can prepare enough food.
There are number of bedrooms and I have slept in two different rooms. Both very comfortable and large, with en-suite bathrooms.
Marley is a big dog that seems to always be on the wrong side of the door, but is very friendly to everybody in the neighbourhood. If you have a pet dander allergy, unfortunately you will have to stay elsewhere as Cacilia also has a cat.
You can get internet, but not cell service. Not an unusual occurrence for Haida Gwaii where cell service can be dropped when the wind changes.
Overall, this Bed and Breakfast is HIGHLY recommended for anybody, whether you are on business or travelling for pleasure.

We had over 12 people in our group and took over each room at Cacilia's place. Here are a few thoughts on my stay:
Hostess
Cacilia herself is absolutely wonderful and an amazing cook! After staying only 2 short days, you leave feeling like you've known her for years. Her dog Marley may cozy up to you, but the cat will most likely run away at the sight of you.
Rooms
The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. I stayed on the second floor, left hallway which has a shared bathroom - but the the rest of the rooms have their own private bathroom.
On the property
Just off to the side of Cacilia's is a beach which is a great place to take a walk or have a little campfire after dinner. We opted for the campfire and watched the sunset.
Overall, I really enjoyed Cacilia's and would definitely return!
There were petty annoyances. For example, my son and I were sitting reading in the common room when the landlady came in and asked us to leave so she could watch TV. The landlady did not have a separate part of the house; we constantly felt as though we were intruding. The breakfast was a small bowl of fruit (in the landlady’s kitchen where we did not feel comfortable). We were also handed a tub of plain yoghurt with instructions not to stir it.
The real problems began when the landlady began criticizing our parenting choices. We let our teenage children sleep in until 9 a.m. and she let us know that we should have roused them earlier. We then went out for the day, returning at about 6 p.m. to rest for a little before going out to dinner. In the end, our children decided to stay in (and have food brought back for them) while my wife and I went out for dinner. The landlady expressed the opinion that our children ought to accompany us. Immediately after my wife and I left, the landlady entered the room that my children were sharing. (They had retreated to the small room they were sharing, leaving the landlady enjoying a glass of wine in front of the big screen TV.) She began abusing them, telling them that they were disgusting and that our family was sickening. She yelled at the top of her lungs according to my children. My children felt so uncomfortable that they left, walking off into the twilight – unaware of how far away we were.
We returned to the B&B, to find our children and the landlady gone. I drove out and found our children walking along the country road, in bear country. My wife found the landlady on the beach. The landlady confirmed that she had entered the room and that she had expressed the opinion that our family is disgusting, pathetic, and sickening.
We immediately left and found alternative accommodation.
For the record, our family is not disgusting. We have two lovely children who, like all teenagers, can be a little moody and require a lot of sleep.
This B&B is quiet and there is a short walk down to a pleasant beach. But avoid it like the plague.
Was a last minute booking, and Cacilia was gracious and welcoming. The room was quiet and comfortable. Cacilia is very knowledgeable of what 'tourists' want to see. Great stories if you have time to sit and listen
The breakfast and the company was top notch. Metres from the beach!!
Would highly recommend!
The house is a large renovated pioneer house with a second floor addition, beachfront location, sunsets and sunrises galore! It is not a quaint suburban B 'N B. This lady has been greeting visitors to her home for a very long time. Come with a smile and enjoy the tranquility, you will not be disappointed.
