Peter and Christine are wonderful hosts! We had salmon for breakfast the first night. There were lots of food to eat!
The cabin was clean, comfortable and complete with amenities - shampoo, lotion, conditioner, stove, etc. The surroundings are clean, spacious and lots of flowers.
Peter has a wealth of information for places to go to. He brought us fishing near the river and took us to the top of Skidegate Mountain and the hidden canoe! That was a special treat! They did not know it, but it was my birthday that day, so it was a birthday to remember! Thank you so very much, Peter and Christine!

Very friendly - they basically welcome you like friends and include you as much as you like in activities they are going about including visiting sites of interest or watching a good movie in the evening. I chose to have 3 meals with them and all were excellent - breakfasts set you up for the day - being summer, there were local fruits and mushrooms available plus fish etc. I stayed 5 nights in the cabin and 2 nights in the house - the cabin is absolutely beautiful - I booked it without knowing what it was like, but it was like a new perfectly self contained little home, just without an oven! The rooms are very nice as well - the upstairs bathroom is shared but there is another downstairs. The beds were firm and good to sleep on. There is no cell service but you can use their phone as their plan includes long distance. WiFi worked quite well in the house, bit spotty if outside. Very close to the beach but sheltered back a bit. I was away from my family for a week for work and the hospitality I received made it anything but lonely. I would definitely recommend it and would stay again.

I recently stayed with Peter and Christine and can't say enough good things about our visit. They were extremely accommodating and willing to help us out in any way possible. Our fishing rod broke and Peter loaned us his, we got a flat tire and Peter had a pump, we couldn't bring our dog on a fishing charter so Peter and Christine looked after him for the day, my son wanted banana muffins so Christine made him some. We stayed in their cabin which is a great setup. Separate from the house it has a little kitchenette and living area. The beach is right behind their house and is spectacular and the Tlell River is 10 min down the road. We can't wait to go back!

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast in Haida Gwaii, this is it. Peter and Christine were very gracious hosts and made you feel right at home. They are very knowledgeable and willing to provide suggestions for meals, sites, galleries, etc. They provide excellent breakfasts and will also offer dinner. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Christine & Peter were amazing Hosts! We loved our Home away from home. They made us feel so welcome. Delicious meals, comfortable beds and plenty of interesting stories of Haida Gwaii!!
Beach combing, mushroom picking, hiking to the Golden Spruce (that isn’t there), sharing meals and making new friends.
Such an amazing time spent in this beautiful place called Haida Gwaii.

Can't say much more than the other guests! Really enjoyed my stay as a solo traveller. it means a lot to find a friendly home atmosphere and clean, lovely accomodations. Weather was even better here than to the north where I went for day trips to visit friends. Would highly recommend this place - beach is less than five minutes away!

Stayed here and loved it! The homeowners are friendly and the food is delish! Everything is clean and comfortable there is only a shared bathroom with shower in the house instead of your own private one but it worked out fine.

I would definitely come back!

We spent four nights here (2 couples) at the end of August. Peter the owner was on his own as his wife was away visiting their grandchildern. Peter did all the breakfasts by himself and did a super job. Loved his huckleberry pancakes. The greatest!
We used his place as a base while exploring the rest of the island from Tlell to Masset.
One day we mentioned to Peter we were going to go to North Beach to explore. He mentioned that if we like and for a small fee to pay for his gas he would take us right out to the end of the spit in his 4x4 truck. We took him up on it and the trip was the greatest. Something we would not have been able to do on our own. On another day Peter offered to take us to the beach near the Tlell river outlet where we could walk back while exploring. "Heck" he said, "I want to check out the river for salmon anyway, and besides it will save you a couple kilometers of walking." Peter you are the greatest.
Oh, by the way Peter has a huge collection of DVDs for everyones use. One of his favourites is "the man from smokey river and its sequel.
The Serenity Now B and B is a huge panabode style house built out of lumber milled in the local area. It has large roomey bedrooms upstairs as well as a cabin off his deck. Everything was clean and tidy and fresh.
One day I mentioned that we were sorry his wife was not home because they offered dinners if we wanted but Peter said he only did breakfasts, dinners were his wife's speciality.
I sorta mentioned that I liked to cook too. His eyes lit up and he said he would throw in some fish, we could supply stuff as well and I would do the cooking.
We did it and had a great time.
If you have a chance don't turn down this place because you will enjoy everything there.

Peter is on left, friends Bill and Marilyn, Peters friend Dale and my wife Betty on the right. The cook (Larry) was the photographer and who wants to see him anyways
