Overnighted on Campobello island. Very beautiful and well kept chalets. Clean, spacious and with all you need for cooking meals. Bonus included satellite and wifi. Would recommend to anyone. The oceanview is also spectacular. Will definitely be returning. A few pictures to show the beauty.

Wonderful place to stay, right on the water, clean and comfortable. Nice appliances to use and full of dishes for our use. Amazing views from the house and places to enjoy outside. Great hosts! Will definitely stay again.

These are clean, cute, 2 bedroom cabins, with functional kitchen, one bathroom, and nice porches. The view is amazing! There is a firepit for everyone to use, complete with wood. There is a gas barbeque provided. Kitchens have pretty much what ever you need to make a meal. Satellite TV is provided. This is a great place for a family vacation, or if you had several families trying to have a reunion it would be absolutely perfect! These aren't fancy cabins, but basic, immaculate, comfortable beds, convenient. Oh, and don't forget that ViEW!

The setting is great. The cabins deliver. They are roomier than they appear. Full working kitchen and a nice view covered porch. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything you'd expect in a home bathroom. If you are sleeping in the loft, don't even think about sneaking downstairs for a late snack....the creaking staircase will give you away every time!

We stayed here for two nights. The location right on the water is amazing...we watched seals from our porch! The cabin was perfectly clean and everything worked just as it should. The only disappointment was that while there was a large drop coffee maker, there were no coffee filters (I expected to have to bring my own coffee, but this is the first rental I've stayed at that didn't have coffee filters). The grocery store on the island is open limited hours, so I had a coffee free stay, unfortunately :).

This is simply the best lodging experience in the area, and I know this because I've been to most of them. The cabins are cute and equipped with a full kitchen and bath. There is a queen bed loft upstairs and two twin beds in a bedroom downstairs. Though not luxury, they have everything you need and it's like staying at camp with full linen service. They are super clean as well. Even though you're close to customs and the bridge, it is SO quiet and peaceful. Cabins are close together but I never felt like my privacy was invaded and other guests were very quiet overall. The owners both grew up in the area and have extensive knowledge of the Island and Lubec and were really helpful with suggestions without being intrusive. They usually stopped by for a quick chat daily to make sure we had everything we needed. We spent a couple hours every night on the front porch watching beautiful sunsets. We saw seals and eagles as well. I couldn't recommend Island Chalet any higher.

We visited in October after all of the restaurants on the island were closed. It was lucky for us that we booked a lovely clean chalet with a full kitchen so were were easily able to provide whatever food we wanted. We used the refrigerator, range, oven and microwave. There were plenty of dishes available. The chalet has an upstairs loft with a large bed and a bedroom with twin beds on the ground floor. There is a decent living room area with satellite TV. The bathroom was good sized. There is a spacious deck looking out to a beautiful water view that can't be beat. The chalet is clean, cozy, practical and reasonably priced. It is a few miles away from the Roosevelt Cottage. Highly recommended.

Party of two spent three nights after Labor Day at off-season rates (worked out to $153/night in US money including all fees - extremely reasonable) to hike, go whale-watching, and visit Roosevelt Cottage, lighthouses, and have tea with Eleanor. Before arrival, forecast was for deluges, and we asked owner if we could lose deposit and arrive following week (was an opening) and were refused, so know you are bound to dates you book. Our whale watches (tried for different days) were cancelled due to weather, and hikes in rain and fog were limited. Roosevelt cottage tour was fascinating (outdoor part was in raingear). "Tea with Eleanor" was free at 11:00 a.m, if book on same day at International Park's Visitors' Center. Cabin was one of five close together, but that was not a problem at all. Our cabin was spotless and included a bedroom with 2 single beds on first floor, a full bath with tub/shower, and a great room with sofa, comfortable chair, small dining table & chairs, full-sized refrigerator, 4-burner electric stove, kitchen counter space, & kitchen cabinets. Upstairs loft had queen bed, but stairs without railing could be challenge for some. Bed and linens were clean and comfortable. Bring TP, as we ran out of limited amount provided. Cabin has heat, if needed. Also has spotty wi-fi and basic cable TV. Owner lives on-site, but was pleasant and unobtrusive and said to go to his house if any questions. It is easy to go back and forth across border to Lubec, Maine for dinner, which we did - recommend Frank's Dockside. Enjoy!
