Very clean, cozy, comfortable and in a great location! We had a couples weekend away and stayed in the suite that had the kitchenette. Fully equipped kitchen, king size bed, table & chairs, love seat, nice linens and towels. quiet, peaceful and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Owners are amazing and checked in with us regularly to assure we were having a nice stay and if there was anything we needed. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to return!
When we initially made the booking 3 years ago, the house was considered a B&B so we were a bit surprised when we finally arrived that this was no longer the case. Nonetheless, we were directed to local breakfast spots that were very close by and it all worked out well. Our room had everything we needed including heat since it was still quite cool at night, but the room was small (to accommodate the bathroom, I'm sure). But despite that, we had a pleasant stay. The owners were very nice and were very helpful letting us know the places to see. Thanks for all your help and the great suggestions.
This is a lovely place. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated. We stayed in the cottage rooms, two rooms back to back in a cottage directly beside the main building. Had a nice private deck for us to sit and enjoy our morning coffee or evening glass of wine. We enjoyed interacting with other guests as they came and went and the friendly, helpful owners. Even the neighbours were friendly and interacted with us! So helpful to have a frig, toaster and Keurig coffee maker in each room. Easy parking right on site. Nice neighbour good for strolling and reaching town shops and restaurants.
Our room had a kitchenette and King Bed. It was vey quiet and had all the amenities that we needed. A small breakfast basket was provided in the fridge as Covid has spoiled the B and B option. The owners greeted us and explained things we needed to know about the area! They also replied quickly before our stay to answer any questions. Well done and Thank you.
We were welcomed long before we arrived. Due to the shortage of cars for rent we called to cancel our trip. We were looking forward to seeing Newfoundland and reluctantly made the call. Both Keith and Maureen were wonderful. They provided us with options to get to and from Bonavista from St Johns and went out of their way to make sure we saw everything The Puffin’s Landing is a pretty place. It is very clean and comfortable. We stayed for six nights and enjoyed the Lincoln and the King ‘s suite The decor is tasteful and many added features like a coffee / tea station and a nice welcome basket it is located in the downtown area and most sites are minutes away. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bonavista
Stayed here on our way from Twillingate to St. John's. Our host was very accommodating and informative about the area. Room was fairly basic (King Chester Suite) but comfortable. There was a basket of food in the fridge but in my humble opinion would not qualify the inn to be called a bed & "breakfast".
My wife and I recently had the good fortune of friends recommending Puffins Landing for our stay in Bonavista. Keith was a great host with lots of good advice. Our room was clean and quiet. The location was very good with walking access to a number of restaurants. Appreciated the welcome platter of food. I would recommend Puffins Landing to anyone needing a place to stay in Bonavista. We spent a night in this tourist hotel. We had a room in the main building and a private room in the addition. In the main building the room was nice as well as the attached large bathroom. With two large suitcases it was a little tight moving around. We could hear the people upstairs as well as the showers in other rooms in the morning. You need to vacate by 10 so no sleeping in. The private room was really large and had its own coffee maker and kettle. They didn’t hear any other guests. You get a breakfast basket when you check in which consists of slice white and brown bread and raisin tea biscuits. In the in-room fridge you get yogurt, margarine and jam.
We stayed at this well loved room/home for two nights in beautiful, Bonavista!! It was very clean and the hospitality that both Maureen and Keith bestowed was truly outstanding!!! Maureen met us upon arrival with maps of the town with all things to see and do! The gift/snack basket in the fridge was a charming and yummy gesture. The room was spotless and the king size bed was extra comfy!!! My husband and I had really wanted to go whale watching but being the end of September we were told by many that the whales were gone. We sent a text to Keith and Maureen asking if they knew of someone who would take my husband out fishing. Keith went out of his way and found us a local fisherman who had seen whales that morning and asked him if we could join him!! He rounded 5 of us up (around 3PM) and off we went whale watching for almost 3hrs!!! We encountered 12 different sitings and 3 different species of whales!! The absolute highlight of our trip!!! This is a must stay little spot, you will not be disappointed!! Hannah F. Buckhorn, Ontario…
My husband and I stayed at Puffin's landing as part of our East Coast road trip and fell in love with Bonavista! Maureen and Keith were so welcoming, letting us check in right upon our arrival, even though we were early, and making us feel right at home. They spent the afternoon chatting with us, telling us about their story, the town, and even doing an impromptu show, playing their ugly sticks and singing to us some local tunes. They made our visit to Bonavista feel like a visit home! The room was well stocked, clean, and spacious. Would highly recommend.
