Cabin was clean and the sunset was spectacular. However the bbq had not been cleaned for what looked like years. The dirt was corroded in the racks. I certainly would not cook anything on it. Food in Bovavista was terrible.

2 bedroom cottage with everything we needed. The view is second to none. Check in /out was easy and the location was perfect. Restaurant closed was the only downside but the cottage was great ! Thank you

The view of the ocean here is beautiful and the rooms are clean but beware if you have noisy neighbours! The first time we stayed here it was peaceful and relaxing, but we had no-one next to us. This time, we had a couple next door with 2 very young children. The children would start running and crashing around at about 5:30 in the morning and it would continue until we (or they) went out. It was very loud and I doubt that there is any sound insulation between the shared walls. I was exhausted when we left and looked forward to getting home so I could get some peace and sleep! When I complained to the owner, she didn't even acknowledge my complaint and so my concerns certainly weren't addressed. I will never stay at this property again.

We know the place and we liked it, because of the view.It seems that a new owner is making a change. The cabins are good, the service is good, the rooms are clean. The restaurant need something new. When you see the ocean, sometimes even icebergs ,than you know that is a fine place.

We recently ate at the restaurant while visiting Bonavista attractions (we were not accommodation renters - only drive by diners). Chose it because it was on the way to the lighthouse and assumed the ocean side feature might translate to some tasty chowder and/or fish. Sadly, no. It would take some convincing to make us think the alleged clam chowder didn't come from a can (Campbell's chunky?) and $13 worth of cod tongues and cheeks were 8 small battered bites. The 4 tongues were like rubber (we were assured later by other hosts that this shouldn't be the case). Sorry to say, but this meal was the least satisfactory restaurant stop of our vacation and certainly poor value for money. Maybe a different day would produce a different impression, but if we are in Bonavista again sometime we will be sussing out a different lunch spot.
