Staff are extremely friendly and the service was great. Very relaxing spot with nice views. The rooms were clean and quiet. Both the rooms and breakfast provided great value as they were priced reasonably. Does need better signage to find the place though- we got lost on the way there.

This property is certainly out of the way but once one gets there they get quite comfortable quickly. The rooms are huge and reasonably well appointed. We had a serious noise problem very late at night that bothered our sleep. The dining room was fine and food quality and service was quite good.

First time to this lovely spot and was totally impressed with the team - from the check-in, to the serving and bar staff, to the young man who quickly helped me bring my heavy bag to the car, and finally, the friendly white haired gentleman who escorted me out with a kind goodbye. Real attention was given to meeting the... More

I have stayed at The Wilds a number of times and it is always great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and well taken care of. The cabins on the golf course are great for group trips. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

We stayed here to be closer to Cape St Mary's. It was a good location. For dinner I had the scallops and my husband had a steak. We were both happy with dinner and breakfast. The people that work there are very nice. The problem is how thin the walls are in the rooms. There was a wedding party there.... More

Thank you for your review and stay with us! We are sorry to hear that the revels of the wedding party kept you awake at points. Perhaps next time we can interest you in a villa or cottage stay? Stayed in one of the villas. Very quite, clean and comfortable. Villa is has lots of room for two people. Large BBQ on patio and patio set. The only problem we had was a wasp nest which was under our patio so we couldn't really use it. Maintenance came by the next morning and took care of it but we... More

Thank you for the kind review! We appreciate you choosing to spend your time with us. We apologize for the wasp nest which ruined your BBQ and deck experience. One of the charms of being in the middle of nature. Hopefully next time there's more moose and rabbits to watch from your deck instead. Looking forward to hosting you again! More

Were just looking for a place to overnight not too far from St John's. Was concerned about the lack of recent positive reviews when we booked, but it turned out to be quite a pleasant stay. Friendly staff, good food, pleasant bar, clean, Keurig in room. Nice walking trail for non-golfers. Bed a little soft but slept well anyways.

The main hotel is the oldest of the properties, but not old and it's in decent shape. It feels much more like a (decent) 3* that a 4* but it charges and presents itself as the higher end. There are also side-by-side townhouse-style accommodations next door to the hotel, and "cabins" about 0.5-1km up the hill from the main hotel... More

Great to hear from you. Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate that we are a little distance away from St. John's. In fact, many people choose our destination for that reason. Walked into restaurant for dinner to find the special was not available . The waitress was funny, but didn't ask if we wanted a drink or appetizer, we had to ask her for a drink.
