Ive spent time this morning scrolling through these reviews, saddened but such ugly portrayals of such a younique place. My husband and I spent our honeymoon here 10 years ago. It was a lovely place, clean and comfortable. Our suite was gorgeous, the bathroom impeccable. The food was great and the owner an absolute pleasure. The cruise was serene and...

Very unique place to stay on the cabot trail!! The property is exactly as it appears in the photos with big rooms and comfortable place to spend few nights.. Exceptionally clean. The owner is a lovely lady who couldn't have been more helpful - providing tourist advise and making us feel comfortable. We would definitely stay again!!!

Our host Linda Moffatt couldn't of been more accommodating and sweet ,we had accidently booked the wrong night, when I explained that to Linda she was great and made sure we had a room the following night...the Castle is a REPLICA of an 17 th century castle nestled high on a hill over looking the Bra Dor Lake, the room was fantastic,with...

Had a wonderful night at Castle Moffett! Linda, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful, offering our use of binoculars for our boat cruise and chatting with us over breakfast about her lovely castle. The room we stayed in was very well furnished and decorated. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Great shower and whirlpool tub. While there wasn't a choice...

Castle Moffett was designed and built by Linda Moffett's late husband 22 years ago. 'His home was his castle!' They added rooms for a B&B, which Linda now runs. Our room (Safari) was elegantly furnished, spotlessly clean, with a canopy bed--very comfortable; a whirlpool tub and separate shower; 2 sinks; a nonworking fireplace and a great view of the beautiful...

I brought my parents to Nova Scotia from North Carolina for the trip of a lifetime. We toured all over and coincidentally enough I booked the castle for one night. My father (a young senor citizen) slept in a castle for Father's Day with a beautiful view of the Lake in the morning. Thanks Linda for your hospitality and for...

This was the nicest place we stayed in NS, the room and grounds were top notch. Not sure what people don't like about this place other than to say apparently you can't please everyone. The view from the hotel is excellent, and a stream runs over the place which you can hear in the sitting room if the windows are...

I'm not really about all the complaints that this place was getting. Linda was delightful, a little eccentric, but genuinely beautiful! The Scotia room was fantastic! The king bed was so cozy, the love seat was nice and soft, the A/C eventually cooled down the room, and the view was spectacular. As far as people getting creeped out by the...

Before I start my review I just want to say that I am very surprised to see the intense spectrum of reviews for this place...seems people either love this place or hate it. I think this proves my point that people are either very open minded travelers or very closed minded travelers. I had no expectations when going to this...
