We stayed at the Lynwood Inn for a weekend and enjoyed our stay. However, few were not told when booking that the restaurant had closed the previous weekend which was disappointing since the reviews for that restaurant were good. Friendly staff.

Clean and comfortable room.
Entrance to the big building is weird; (long gravel walkway) and there is no elevator! You have to carry your luggage to upper floor.
Eat outside! Even not breakfast.
Front desk was not too friendly.
My husband and I went to Cape Breton in April, stayed in a town called Baddeck. We chose the Lynwood Inn because we couldn't find any other hotel open this time of year. It's a Victorian style hotel, so it looks very dated. I think...More
this was close to our accomodations at the silver dart and we went to experience their seafood on their menu .. it was a wonderful place for both the food and the hospitality , really a unique experience .
