We stayed in the main house in a large room on the second floor. The decor was charming - filled with genuine antiques. It was very clean and comfortable. We felt like we had stepped back in time with the exception of modern amenities! I would highly recommend this inn - especially if you can get in the main house.... More

So glad you enjoyed your stay in our lovely Inn Suite 1! You've described almost as I do--Victorian charm with modern amenities. More

We were very upset in our accommodations at the Lynwood Cottage. It's $175/ night and the pictures for the Lynwood “Cottage” on the website are very misleading; they falsely call this place a cottage when in fact it is a poorly furnished old trailer. We expected the same level of quality as the Inn itself, not a made over mobile... More

I'm sorry that the Lynwood Cottage did not meet your expectations. Some of your issues with the cottage could have been remedied if you had voiced your complaints during your stay. For example, if there wasn't a sharp knife to be found--we would have supplied a brand new set by the following day. I agree, that the Lynwood Cottage is... More

Ate dinner here but did not stay in hotel. There was choice of seating indoors, on covered deck or open deck. Menu choices excellent and varied. Food beautifully prepared, cooked, and presented. Service excellent. Staff pleasant. The best meal we've had in a long time!!! Thank you.

We book at the Lynwood every year (often 2-3 times)and stay in the main house. Usually we try and get the larger of the three rooms that overlooks the harbour. This past weekend we had the smaller of the three rooms. We see the same front desk staff each year which is a good sign. Although I do find it... More

Jeepers! Odd you haven't been acknowledged as regular guests. Perhaps you are always looking fresh and new unlike some of the faded cushions in our Victorian Inn Suites. I will bring this to the owners attention. Perhaps you will find some refreshed items on your next visit and hopefully you will be recognized by our staff and shown an extra... More

Had booked one night at the Lynwood which we extended to two. First night was in Suite 2 of the Heritage House. The room was lovely and very nicely appointed with period furnishings. Only real complaint was the noise of guests next door who began their visit in the hall at 10 p.m and continued with rather loud chatter in... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I'm glad we were able to switch your room for the second night. We rarely have noise complaints here at Lynwood Inn. Regarding hooks in the bathrooms--there should have been a hook on the back of the bathroom door. I will have maintenance check all bathroom doors in case some... More

Staying for one night at the Cottage (a cute house actually). Very nice place, good price. Huge deck overlooking water, smaller one right on the water. Close to Cabot trail and town. Excellent wifi, huge kitchen/ living room, tons of parking room if you have a trailer or couple vehicles easy. All luxuries of home. Dont remember seeing a phone but... More

My family and I, recently went here for supper. It was a retirement celebration for my sister in law. The main reason we went to this establishment was to hear Warren MacIntyre who sings here during the supper hour. We all really like his singing. I phoned the day before to make a reservation for 7 people. I was told... More

I'm so sorry that you had this unpleasant experience. No one is fessing up to who "the receptionist" was. I suspect that it is a gal who is no longer employed here. I'm also guessing that your emailed complaint was deleted and not shown to the owners as it should have been. We do take all commendations and complaints seriously... More

We stayed in the Lynnwood Inn, in the inn. If you stay in the inn you have to walk up 1 flight of stairs, that was okay for us. The room was a good size and we'll kept. Perfect for us. The staff is very friendly. Check in and out was easy. Breakfast is not included, we ate breakfast at... More

We were there before the height of the summer season so maybe this is te excuse for the middle of the road review I have of the place. The receptionist 'gave' us a balcony room which overlooked a heavily treed provate proprty so not much of a bonus really! The room was OK but just a hotel room in reality.

Very true. The balcony rooms aren't fancy--they are simple, clean and comfortable with a great shower and jetted tubs. We do have balcony rooms with views, perhaps they were all booked. If you visit us again--ask for room 201 (the owner's favourite) or room 202 (my favourite). These two rooms have spectacular views. More

Was a beautiful Inn. Loved that it was 150 years old and the history it had. We had an amazing room with vintage or vintage reproductions. The only down size is it was on second floor and didn't have an elevator (makes sense as it was a vintage building). My husband is 72 and if I had known probably wouldn't... More
