Not a bed and breakfast but a shabby motel. While advertised as antique decor that is only true of the lobby...our room was shabby. Very small. The promised jet tub did not work. Couldn't get tv to work ....figured out it was unplugged as not enough plug ins for the room. Nothing a power bar could not have fixed but...

My husband and I stayed at the Telegraph House and had such a wonderful experience. Shawn is a fifth generation owner of this wonderful place and shared part of the history of this motel with us. It was wonderful to learn that Alexander Graham Bell even stayed in the motel. Thank you Shawn for making our trip such a wonderful...

My wife and I traveled to Baddeck in late October to enjoy the Fall colors along the Cabot Trail. The Telegraph House was a magical place to stay, although we were only there for one night we would gladly return. Immediately upon arrival check in service was excellent, quick, very friendly and informative with some good advice for exploring the...

Small but adequate rooms, with very friendly and well informed staff to point you to local places. On the Main Street, this older style building does have stairs only, and no lift for those who can't climb.

The room was lovely, although quite small for two single beds to fit in. We were at the top of the first flight of stairs, but it was fairly quiet. The check in process seemed to take forever though and still not sure why... Well located on the main street of the town and opposite a fantastic bakery where we...

We stayed during the celtic colours music festival on our little tour of Cape breton. We checked in on a very rainy evening. The girl working gave us info on what to do for entertainment that evening. Which happened to be a cabaret, if it wasn't for her we would've missed out. We also ate at the restaurant quite late,...

Very lovely place in Cape Breton, friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, although a bit dated in style, and the wi-fi is a bit sporradic. The owner and front desk staff are always available to answer questions, make recommendations and they were very helpful during the stay. The restaurant is great - both dinner and breakfast. The desserts are great...

Our stay at Telegraph house & motel was a pleasant experience from the day we decided to book it. They even offered to pick and drop us off at the maritime bus terminal from and to Halifax. When we arrived at the motel we were in for a pleasant surprise when we were told we are getting a free upgrade...

Baddeck has so much music all day long -- from Wendy's interviews at the church, to the concerts at the Bell museum, and then the sessions at the yacht club. From the Telegraph House all are easily walkable. The Inn's rooms are lovely -- especially those two with the balcony! Have also stayed in the motel rooms, which are comfortably...

My husband and I had a great stay at Telegraph House while we were in Nova Scotia for the Celtic Colours festival. We stayed in the motel part--very clean, a window in the bathroom (I love a bathroom window--natural light and all), and the best part is the little deck that runs around the front of the motel. Outside each...
