The building, rooms and grounds are lovely. The welcome was warm, including hellos from the sweet resident dogs. Tastefully decorated rooms, incredibly comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, friendly service. A bonus for me: on the frosty, quiet morning of our leaving, I walke

Gillespie House was a treat. We stayed in June 2017. The house, rooms and property were all beautiful, clean and updated. The hosts were very pleasant, helpful and informative. Great location to explore the small town and surrounding area. Wished we could have stayed longer. Woul

We stayed one night in September 2018. It started abruptly, as the reception was unpleasant; we were instructed to sign in without a hello. The Inn has character reflecting the shipbuilding era of the early 20th century. Our room was well appointed with sitting area, bedroom and

Hello. My wife and I are planning a trip to Nova Scotia this fall and are very interested in the Gillespie House Inn. I am interested in knowing which rooms are on the back of the house and which rooms are first floor or second floor. Any other room tips would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
Thank you for your inquiry. All rooms are on the 2nd floor except the Whitehall Room which is on the ground floor. The rooms away from the front of the house are the Gillespie Room, the McGilvary Room, the Chignecto Room and the Davison Room. Hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions. David
