Lovely lodge-style rooms & hotel. Excellent front desk staff & housekeeping staff. Shame on the management for putting staff in the position where they cannot offer a discount! The restaurant was not open. The pool was not open. No amenities available & yet the hotel gives no discount to compensate, & doesn't even offer senior's discount or CAA. Definitely not worth the high rate.

Was worried when I pulled up but it was actually really nice inside. No key cards for the rooms (old school keys were used), and everyone was nice except one crappy receptionist. Would stay here again. Flint restaurant was also good

We stayed here for one night on our way to Thunder Bay. The property is right on the main street going through town. An older property but the room has had some upgrades to flooring (vinyl plank) and bathroom. They have added a couple of portable outlets/charging ports. The decor is a rustic theme (deer horn lamps) and furniture is either oldish or going for the distressed look. We had a NS King with fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and electric fireplace. The fireplace worked although we didn't need or use it. Room was clean. Small bathroom that had very little countertop space. It had a bowl sink shaped leak a leaf that sits on top of the counter. Pretty but takes up space. There was a small desk in the room. Cork accent wall looked nice. Bed was comfortable and linens looked new. Room was very quiet, we were on the side away from the highway. Restaurant was closed because of Covid. No continental breakfast. Most other close dining options were fast food. Seemed a bit pricey at $169 plus tax but to be fair the Super 8 was charging the same for similar accomodation. Service was very good. Overall it was an OK place to stay and I'd stay here again.

The hotel looks a little nondescript from the outside but changes immediately upon entering the lobby. It has obviously been recently renovated and the lobby is beautiful with a fireplace and comfortable chairs. Checkin was quick and accurate and you are even given a slab of fudge and some Lindt chocolates. Our room was large, clean and had a terrific king bed. The washroom was a little small considering the size of the room but was very well appointed. They normally include a buffet breakfast but due to Covid, the restaurant was closed. They do give you a nice bag breakfast of items you pick at the lobby that includes Starbucks coffee. Great place to stay in Fort Frances and would stay again.
