This was a fantastic place!! We absolutely loved it. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the ambiance was beautiful and full of character and the location was excellent. It was very well equipped with peddle boats, canoes, kayaks, life jackets, paddles, etc.. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC TOO! What a fun get away! I highly recommend the Saucy Willow!

We rented cottage #1. We were not sure as this was our first time renting a cottage with my mom. The rooms were neat and well stocked. The day we reached Kwartha lakes it was unusually hot (32 degrees). Chris was very kind to provide us with 2 fans. Being close to the lake the breeze cooled us down and... More

This is a beautiful sanctuary - a renovated Victorian farmhouse on a sprawling waterfront property. Catharine and Chris are the most affable and warm hosts imaginable, and go out of their way to welcome guests. Catharine is also a great cook, and makes the most amazing breakfasts with fresh fruits, home-baked muffins, and a different egg dish every day. The... More

When you approach the Saucy Willow, you don't know what to expect. However, when we got in there, here is what we found: Spotless rooms, excellent food, remarkable service, and ambiance that you can only get in Kawartha Lakes. Chris and Katherine were consummate hosts - they took the time to make sure we were comfortable, at ease, and more... More

We stayed in the Blue Room at the bed and breakfast portion of the property and were very satisfied with the quality and service provided. The property is located directly on the river, giving you the cottage-like settings to enjoy (with free use of the kayaks and canoes). Beautiful surroundings, tidy and nicely decorated rooms, perfect settings for the relaxing... More

This is the first bed and breakfast that I have ever stayed in, and The Saucy Willow Inn has set the bar HIGH! The room was tidy, the bed comfy, the sheets amazing(!), and the food was out of this world! I was sure that I was eating at a five star restaurant, it was that good! The presentation and... More

This B&B was a half way point for long drive to Quebec. We did not want our one year olds first road trip to be 8 hours. We were only able to stay for one night. The owners were very nice. The Blue Room was a good size for a playpen. The food was great. The house and view were... More

Thank you for your great review of our property. The summer and fall were very busy this year, and I apologize for not thanking you sooner. We really appreciate the kind words of our guests and that we are able to accommodate our Trent Severn Waterway explorers. More

My husband and I most recently spent a couple of nights at this most gorgeous, turn-of-the-century inn. As many others have stated eloquently before me, Katherine and Chris, the hosts, most definitely go out of their way to make your stay in their immaculate and character-filled home, incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. Breakfasts are quite simply phenomenal featuring freshly brewed delectable... More

Thank you. We do our very best to make our guests feel comfortable while here. You are right about the summer--it is absolutely beautiful here and the upper porch is a favourite spot for sipping wine (coffee/tea or whatever your beverage choice is). The best complement you can give us is the desire to return. We look forward to seeing... More
