My room was warm, cozy and clean. I stayed 2 nights at a reasonable rate considering the room had 2 beds and a kitchenette. The fall colours were at their peak when I visited and they have a beautiful view of Ahmic Lake. Would definitely consider a visit here with family! Only minutes from the village of Magnetawan, a favorite place to visit for me for most of my life. And though it is right next to highway 124, it lives up to its name and is very quiet 😊

We stayed one night at The Quiet Bay Inn and Cafe. Our room was big, clean, comfortable and modern and had a view of the bay. I brought my own Canoe and launched it by their dock to explore the lake. I would definitely stay here again.

The Quiet Bay Inn & Café was the best place I have stayed in a very long time. Quiet peaceful and oh so pristine. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The view was stunning looking onto the lake. Fishing on the dock was a blast and cought sunfish. We also saw the biggest turtle ever. The bond fire was wonderful with the fireflies and the stars a glow. Over all this is a little piece of heaven. They owner was so nice and polite. Couldn't have gotten any better. Thank you so much. We shall be back again.

We got to know the owners, a very sweet couple, as we had major power issues at our AIrbnb down the street. Our Airbnb host wasnt taking any responsibility so we were stranded outside, while the couple that owned this inn were complete angels sent from heaven to rescue us. The owners offered is a complimentary room and helped us through our entire ordeal, even allowed us to use their wifi for as long as we needed...I really wished I was staying at their gorgeous property with beautiful views to the lake. I am not going to book anywhere else next time I am in town...this property looks heavenly!!

We are back for a second year, loved this location...away from every big city! Plus it's quite and has great views of the water and area. You feel like you are staying in a cabin and enjoyed the microwave and fridge. Also loved all the ways to recycle and food waste baskets. Parking right outside the room, wifi, big bathroom, plenty of space inside the room and 2 beds. Great place for a stay away from home. Plus check out the restaurant down the street called Swiss Country Inn (call for reservations)

Quiet Bay is a quiet and clean motel. Well kept and backing onto Ahmic Lake. Would love to stay here in the summer. The easy access to the lake would be great. Cafe on the property and quite close to Magnetwawan.

We most recently stayed at Quiet Bay for 8 days and are looking forward to our next visit. We booked a suite with a kitchenette and prepared most of our own meals. There is a cafe very close to the inn, as well as several other meal options within a short drive. The fall colours were spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on our patio looking at nature's beauty as well as hearing the occasional plaintive call of a loon from the bay. Chikopi Road is easily accessed from a trail at one end of the property and provided a great route for walking amidst the falling leaves. While at the inn we spent some time on the water fishing in Ahmic Lake. The lake does not give up its fish willingly but they are there and persistence does pay off. The room was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, the beds were comfortable and hot water was never in short supply. Jane and Dan are excellent hosts and obviously have been working very hard to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests during these strange COVID times. As I said to my wife as we were driving out the lane way to begin our journey home, "That was really nice." Anyone looking for a peaceful rural getaway can't go wrong by visiting Quiet Bay. Thanks, B & J

Very quiet, back in from the road, parking right outside room. nice country setting. Rooms spacious, nice kitchenettes. Clean, had everything we needed. Good price. Very nice view down the hill, down by the bay. You can fish, canoe. Awesome fire pit /sitting area if we would have had wood but would have been a dark walk back up to room. Nice little patio out back of rooms. Pool available but we didn't use. No air conditioning but didn't really need it. Windows open and fan. 0 contact with checkin. Would recommend staying here for sure ! Nicer than staying in town.

We stayed at the Quiet Bay Inn for 7 days. Jane and Dan were the best hosts. Our suite with kitchenette had all of the amenities of home. I did bring my own grill pan. That worked out fine for us. The fridge and stove are perfect. Great beds, really nice shower. AND the POOL.....we swam every day. Wonderful for laps. Very refreshing. We really enjoyed the patio, starting our day with coffee overlooking the meadow to the river. Star gazing at night. We didn't have a fire, but Jane has a spot down by the water with a fire pit, a screened tent and comfortable chairs all ready to go. The dock is ready to launch a canoe and is suitable to swim if that is your thing. We will be back. Thanks Jane and Dan.

So I should start by saying I'm by no means and outdoorsy kind of gal. My idea of outdoors is sitting on my deck drinking a coffee, but my husband loves fishing and has been begging me to check out Magnetawan. I expected the worst, bugs, bears, snakes and boy was I wrong! We are a family of 5, My husband, myself and our 3 kids, all under 10. We first pulled up to the Motel and it was beautiful. The lot was clean and I can only describe the physical appearance as cute. The owner came out and greeted us upon arrival (contactless) - they stay at the house on the hill The owners were super friendly and accommodating and had a great sense of humour - I can appreciate that There is a cafe on the property but it was closed while we where there so we didn't get to try them out -- they will be open 7 days a week as of July 6 so we just missed them The room my husband rented had 2 queen beds and did not have a kitchen the beds were big enough that we didn't need an extra cot. The linens were clean, the washroom was clean and we had a tv, mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave There is no AC but there is a ceiling fan. We barley spent time in the room and in the night it gets a little cool so if the windows are open the room stays pretty fresh. Keep the doors closed through the moths and mosquitoes will try and get in-lol The property is beautiful and gets a cool breeze blowing throughout the day-almost feels tropical all I was missing was a hammock and a coconut. There is a pool on the property and its about 4 feet deep all the way through which was great for my little guys! In the back of the property there's a dock with canoes and a fire pit that the owners put wood out for you to light while fishing. The lake is breathtakingly beautiful and there are so many fish, turtles frogs and birds to see. There is a loon that lives at the lake and you can see it swimming around under the water looking for dinner There are beaches close and lots of great fishing spots. My kids had a great time catching fish even I managed to hook a few - Pretty good for my first time! Magnetawan is really small we drove through the town and stopped at the bait shops and the ladies there were hilarious and spent most of the time entertaining my kids with all the bait they had (worms and minnows) There was a lovely couple we met while there that made our trip even better. They usually stay at Quiet Bay for a whole month fishing and enjoying the area. They were kind of our tour guides and always had something cool to tell us about the area. In all the only thing I would do differently is book a room with a kitchen - with 3 kids they are constantly eating and although there are a few local dining spots once you're at Quiet Bay you don't want to leave! I loved it here - I'm completely surprised at what a great time I had Thank you to Quiet Bay and Magnetawan for making our family trip a memorable one. We can't wait to come back!
