We just returned from Lumina resort. Lots of positive things to say and some caveats for consideration.
1) Lumina does an excellent job, in my opinion, of rustic cabins with old-school camp charm (think Capture the Flag, croquet, and kids' club).

This is a really nice place to get away to, with a huge lake to explore, especially if you rent out a boat.
The evenings by the beach were absolutely breath taking. Definitely a great couple/family get away from the city.
We were at Lumina Resort for a wedding and while we had a good weekend and the wedding was beautiful, Lumina staff (the female owner and her sister) were less than welcoming.
