Highways were closed, car full of hungry kids and only one motel in town. The guy behind the counter, who I assume was the owner, overcharged us for the room to start with. Once we got into the room, the pubic hair on the towels and bathroom floor meant none of us would be having the hot shower we wanted...

This has been our best go to spot when visiting family in the area. Best features: clean, large comfy beds, great bedding, pillows and towels, up to date decor. Air conditioned. Large parking lot. Quiet and serene. We would definitely recommend to family and friends. Janice and Jim R. Edmonton, Alberta

If you need a place to lay your head, there is only one Hotel to recommend, within a 80 km radius of Palmerston... The King Hotel! Sure the price is real right and the facilities are spotless and the huge food portions are very tasty but what differentiates The King from the surrounding mediocrity, are the hosts! I have travelled...

Amazing little hotel. The owners are a great couple who take the time to make their guests feel welcome. Restaurant is great, good portions with enough for lunch leftover. BBQ in the back, and an amazingly quiet and peaceful back yard deck to relax on. Highly recommend staying here! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The King Hotel is an unassuming gem tucked in a corner of Palmerston just off the beaten path. My husband and I have stayed here several times when I am in the area on business and/or for pleasure. We find the rooms comfortable, clean and the stay quite enjoyable. In the early evening it is nice to sit out with...

We booked this Hotel for 6 ladies who were going to the Tent Sale at the Spin Rite Yarn Factory. It is an older hotel. We booked 3 rooms. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owner, Joe, was very accommodating and went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. All...

Because of road closure and snow storm, we had a chance to visit this place. I got a room with a comfy king bed, with fridge, microwave, and flat screen tv. The bathroom has been updated. The restaurant in the hotel was closed (every Monday), so no chance to try their food. They have hot water dispenser and a machine...

Stayed two nights. Room was clean but the hallways were very cold. The restaurant was Spartan, but he food was good and plentiful - probably too large of portions. Staff was helpful. Water pressure was great, even though we were near the end of the plumbing line.

Wonderful hospitality. Better than a four star overnight when you're on a long road trip! Our host went out of his way to see that we had all we need. No hairdryer in the room but it was promptly brought when requested. We will be back whenever in the vicinity.
