We've been staying here for many years and the cottage is well kept, clean with lots of room. We were even pleasantly surprised this year to see some updates to the cottage. The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly and the location is perfect. We really couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend!

We had decided to have a destination wedding in PEI. We needed to find a location where a large group of our guests could book accommodations together in one place. We selected Avonlea cottages based primarily on location and overall value. We had enough advance notice to Avonlea cottages and our guests and had most everyone booked nearly a year...

Be careful your rate you book at. Owner does bait and switch. Wifi poor. Upload and download rate below canada average. Wind blows campfire into cabins.

Visited with my son and 3 grandchildren (3,7 and 9) You can walk to Shining Waters, Foodmart and Grandpa's Photography. Tim Hortons is a 2 min drive or 5 min walk up the street or a 3 minute drive/10 min walk to Cavendish boardwalk, they provide a limited number of Cavendish Park passes daily. Cottage was a 2 bedroom Executive...

We stayed here for 1 night. Great location! Right next to shining waters fun park. The owner seemed to be very friendly and accommodating. The parking is between the cottages so if u have a truck it's very tight parking. The cabin was clean. However, it could use some maintenance work. The rail on our front deck was cracked. Overall...

We stayed here for a few nights with family in the three bedroom deluxe cottage - the cottages are simple, and maybe a little older than some in the area but we loved it and we felt it was a great price. The location can't be beat if you're staying in the cavendish area. It backs onto Shining Waters theme...

We stayed here for 4 nights while touring PEI. The cottages are convenient to tourist attractions and to major roads. The bedroom was spacious and it was quiet. The grounds are well-maintained. However, the furniture is dated, more like a collection of thrift store pieces. The kitchen had few supplies and had very little counter space. The dining/lluving area was...

Not impressed make sure you get what your told in a email or fax. I payed for the vacation the kids took over but upon getting here they said it was 1349 just for the cottage with nothing else. Had no choice but to stay everything else was booked up. The cottage is not bad but everything else is old...

This was our first stay in PEI. The cottages are fine, in a good location right across the main store, and worth the price. Cottage was clean and we had no issues. The pool is not heated so basically unusable, other than that it was a good stay. They had a fire pit at our 2 bedroom and the kids...

We rented a two bedroom cottage for a few days for us and our grand-daughter. The cottages are located in the center of the Cavendish tourist area. The rental unit was clean comfortable and included all amenities including cable TV, Wifi and a full size kitchen with all appliances. A perfect spot for anyone wanting to visit all the sites...

“Book early because people reserve cottages a year in advance. If you can afford it, choose a larger cottage than you think you need.”

“We had the cottage #1. It was a bit more private (as opposed to the other cottages), but when outside (the fire pit is in front), we're facing the road that drives to Shining Waters... and there was quite a bit of traffic on those days. Not a deal breaker for us, but something to consider.”

“Get a unit with air conditioning!!! And the units further back on the property (check their website for the map, but 18-20 looked good) are quieter and more private.”
