We stayed at the Auberge with some friends and young children for a spring skiing weekend. While the rooms were small, the cozy common areas more than made up for that. We enjoyed our martinis and beer in the sun room on leather couches complete with books, magazines, games, pillows and cozy blankets. The food was unbelievable and delicious enough...

We had great time. It's close to ski slopes. The interior is very intimate and warm. The staff is very friendly and you get the personal attention of the couple that owns and manages the place. The food is brilliant. The rooms are a bit small, but they said they plan a renovation in the spring of 2011. All in...

My first stay at Auberge des Appalache was a short midweek ski trip. I was in search of powder, not luxury. I was delighted to find the restaurant serving up a gourmet menu worthy of a five star hotel.

delicious food, charming hosts, spartan rooms, access to phenomenal skiing. If you are looking for good value, want to be close to Mt. Sutton, and don't mind a room that is a bit cramped, the auberge de appalache is an excellent choice.

We wanted to take our daughter, who attends Bishop's University nearby, away from campus for a skiing weekend. The Auberge des Appalaches was just the right spot for us. Whether sitting by the fire, enjoying great meals or getting out to Mont Sutton just up the road, we were treated superbly.

Very good meals. For dinner, the best lamb I have had in a while. The pancakes for breakfast were great too. Very close to Mt. Sutton, ~2km. Room is OK, but you don't spend much time in there anyways, too much to do outside in this part of Québec.

We spent a week vacationing in Sutton and staying at Auberge des Appalaches. Amazing experience. We had a wonderful time. It is hard to describe it, you have to experience it! Patricia’s and John’s hospitality and John’s cooking made us all think and talk about the dinner during the day. John’s cooking is the best example that shows that cooking...

For a low key, friendly stay close to the mountain, we loved it. We've stayed at several places at Sutton and we'll be returning to this one.

We had the day and a half ski package at Mont Sutton and this hotel. The room was small with no TV but clean and the beds were very comfortable. The people were very friendly and let us into our room early so we could change to start skiing at noon. The food and service was excellent, amazingly so considering...

If your goal is to do some skiing and stay at a cheap place, its the right place for you. The food on Christmas eve and Christmas was good but the rest of the time its average. Its your typical chalet Suisse style so don't go there if you are a Martha Stewart or a fan of Trading Spaces. For...
