This is a neat little place in El Rosario that offers a great rate on a decent room for weary travelers driving down the Baja peninsula. They are pet-friendly, which will be great when we come through there again with our 3 dogs. Mama Espinosa's is right next door for an easy dinner and breakfast option where you can see...

This hotel is totally charming and welcoming.... THe comfort factor with the great updated bathrooms and giant beds is over the moon... I really enjoyed this hotel and had the most wonderful sleep waking up and feeling like I was in another century.... Located north of town just after the pemex on the left for southbound travelers. A couple of the folks at the desk have respectable english, particularly Carmen. Our room was in the back section, ground floor, and appeared to have been redone. Modern bathroom, decent water pressure, soap and shampoo, feeble wifi in room (best to go up into the...

Completely enjoyed my stay here after a long drive in the desert. Beds are ginormous and shower feels like a spa. Room is oversized so it was really a joy to stay here. I will also had the lady clerk was very helpful of the local area and our accomadation. I recommend this for sure. Enjoy the desert.

Getting so busy that I would recommend reservations in advance. Thought that July would be easy, but only managed to squeeze in due to a 'no show'. An online reservation ability would be great. Especially since the US phone number doesn't seem to always work very well.

I found out about this little place from another couple traveling Baja. It is next to the Pemex in El Rosario and it was great deal at 24 bucks a night. The room was nice and clean with good AC and a strong shower head stream. Just be sure to ask for a room in the new section. Their internet...

First off, you can drive through this little town and not miss a thing if you don't know more about this beautiful motel. It sits back off the highway in such a way that it is easy to miss. The booking process is nearly impossible unless you speak Spanish. Once you get past these obstacles you will be amazed at...

In the many years we've been staying here, the Cactus has always delivered. Someone should replicate this gem in every Baja stop-over town. Just an incredible value, clean, charmingly appointed in traditional Mexican style with tile floors and rough-hewn, king-sized poster beds. Of course there is highway noise, and it affects every room since the property is small, but you'll...

TIPS: *Ask for a room on the first floor. There is quite a bit of vehicular noise from the street. The building has a wall around it, which would help mitigate the noise on the first floor, but doesn't help at all for the rooms on the second floor. *Bring earplugs! This place is in the middle of nowhere, yet...

I can't say enough of this quaint hotel. I travel extensively on motorcycle and I was looking for a place to "crash". The hotel, from the outside, does not say much. The driveway is packed dirt, which you would expect to be a prelude to the hotel itself... Wrong! I asked for the more economical room but the attendant suggested...
