I just returned from Casa Encantada.. What a wonderful relaxing place to stay. I had the Colonial room.. huge room and right on the 1st patio. Spent a lot of time sitting in the Garden. One day we took a tour Jaime Balderas. He took us on an amazing trip. We visited with local artisans in their workshops and homes.Plus...

In early April 2017, I attended the big art fair in Uruapan, Michoacan. Known as the Feria Domingo de los Ramos (or Palm Sunday Art Fair), it made logistical sense to stay in Uruapan. But it didn't prevent me from spending a couple of days before and a couple of days after the fair in the Hotel Casa Encantada in...

We stayed at this hotel with another couple and their dog, on a 10 day trip to colonial Mexico. Louis was there to greet us, as I had corresponded with him and spoken to him by telephone during the reservation process. He was very helpful, professional and friendly. Also on arrival, we met Nisa, the nicest gal you could meet...

My stay at Casa Encanrada was delightful in every way - comfortable room, heavenly bed, beautiful garden and courtyards, delicious breakfast, and the friendliest, most helpful and courteous staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with. Great value and location, easy stroll to many places of interest around Patzcuaro. Highly recommended, will stay again and again.

We loved the casual, romantic atmosphere, the colorful decor, the two garden patios, the friendly exceedingly-helpful staff and the scrumptious breakfasts. We asked for an extra blanket and got three, including a gigantic quilt. During our stay we checked out 3-4 other hotels our guidebook recommended, and were glad we had picked Casa Encantada. The others were more austere and...

I am entirely grateful that Casa Encantada was recommended to me by a friend, as in " you have to stay here, it's incredible!" While staying there for 5 days during Semana Santa, I learned that there is already a large fan club who return to this beautiful hotel over and over again. Victoria Ryan, the owner for many years,...

It has almost come down to... if we can't stay at Casa Encantada, we don't visit Patzcuaro. We have been to this incredible town numerous times over the years and have stayed at some very nice hotels. But we are spoiled now by this hotel and their entire staff. We are sometimes torn whether go to Patzcuaro to attend the...

First Class all the way. Staff, room, food, service. Couldn't be better. So pleased and can't wait to return for a longer stay. Right near the plaza, very safe and secure. Parking right in front too! Beautifully restored building with all the comforts you could hope for in a 5 star resort.

I couldn't feel more at home in a place. The staff has been unbelievably accommodating, helpful and efficient in everything from booking the room to doing our laundry. It's a special little compound with 2 lovely courtyards and an inviting garden with plenty of inviting chairs and tables that afford opportunities to sit in either the sun or the shade....

This is a beautifully decorated hotel just a block off the plaza and next to the Casa de Once Patios, a great place to shop. We stayed in the Arbolla room that had 2 large king sized beds and a semi-private patio. It also had a refrigerator and microwave in the common area outside the room which was handy for...

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. Also thank you for the suggestion about the internet. The Treeouse is in a difficult location for the ideal reception, you are right about choosing a different room if the internet is critical. It is helpful when people tell us during the reservation process us they are needing...
