We visited Majahual in the off season while there was no cruise ship in town. Once we finally found the hotel (there isn't much in the way of signage and there are no local buses) it was lovely. There is very little English spoken here so we muddled along in our not great Spanish but it was great place to...

Based on trip advisor recommendations we chose Luna de Plata in Mahahual. It was so very bad I don't know if I can express just how bad. #1-no water pressure in bathrooms #2-no hot water #3-toilet leaking from the base=flooded floor in the bathroom. #4 Mosquitos were out of control #4-we are Americans and speak very little Spanish this led...

Good day. We are surprised with your opinion and would like to clarify some points. First of all it seems incredible to us that during the 13 nights of your stay, we did not receive from you at any time a comment about what was going on, despite our administrative and reception personnel repeatedly asking if everything was ok. If...

We came to Mahahual from playa del Carmen, where we live and it was just perfect, Ezekiel and Dario and their staff took perfectly care of us, the food was amazing in particular the seafood platter and the room was clean and spacious for a family of three. They recommended us places to go and visit in the area and...

A nice hotel at a beautiful quite beach just outside of town. the rooms are nice and the woman who worked in the reception were nice and very helpful. However, in the evening there were so many mosquitos that we couldn´t stay outside. We didn´t have this problem when dining further north in town. I don´t know if it´s always...

Mahahual, although still recovering from the hurricane damages is just paradise on earth, very quite, especially on weekends (where cruise ships are not there). Luna de Plata is small and comfortable. Many rooms have sea view. The beach is nice and you are almost always alone. We were there in February and it was empty. Sometimes there was no hot...

We just returned from a one night stay in Mahahual. We traveled down from Playa Del Carmen just to check it out. We chose this hotel because of price and it was pet friendly. We will return to this hotel for those same reasons, but also because we really liked it. The location was just right for us...on the end...

When looking for accommodation in Mahahual online, there seemed to be little that was within our budget. Hotel Ristorante Luna de Plata was the cheapest we could find online and it looked nice so we reserved a standard room for two nights, which had a double bed, air conditioning, safety deposit box and bathroom. When we arrived, we were a...

Very descent and clean rooms, right opposite the beach, placed a few hundred meters from the boardwalk so nice and quiet, very good drinks and Italian food in the restaurant.

“I don't know of any good rooms at Luna de Plata. Initially we paid for a basic room but when the toilet started leaking we were moved to a deluxe room. Still no water pressure or hot water. The lights in the bathroom had a short or something because you never knew when you would have light. The A/C leaked into my suitcase and all of my clothes got wet. Miserable.”
