Our stay was absolutely beautiful. It added tremendously to our wedding experience. We purchased a honeymoon packaged specially designed for us by our host Beate. Beate was an excellent tour guide we didn't have to worry about translation and the food she prepared were truly inspirational. Her heart shines thru her food. Paul's humble spirit added to our experience. When... More

Casa Axis Mundi was the perfect place for us. It's like a jungle oasis in the middle of a little town, so you feel connected but disconnected at the same time. The grounds are clean but natural with just the right mount of space for our 3 kids (ages 8, 6 and almost 2) to safely roam and explore. They... More

We got there, it was dark, we couldn't see around, but when we woke up to the sound of birds and rooster, and some mexican jingles passing by the street, we realized that we were bathing in nature. It was one of the nicest place we ever woke up in. The balcony with the hammock, the jungle like trees around... More

My wife and I has an amazing stay in valladolid and Beate and Paul made us feel like family. The food was awesome, the hosts were even better, I can't say enough good things about our hosts and the accommodation, it would go on for days, this is the the best place in all of Mexico to stay.

My friend and I stayed for two nights with Beate and Paul and enjoyed our stay at Casa Axis Mundi. It is a short walk from the downtown area and has a lovely backyard with little apartment style rooms. Everything was clean and in good condition. One of the highlights was the breakfast: As a veggie I can tell you... More

Close to the center, very clean and cozy place, Beate & Paul are very positive hosts that make you feel at home. A great place to rest and enjoy amazing breakfast with lots of fruits and "café de olla" (if you don't know this coffee, try it and will be not disappointed...;-)). “I liked being high up. Note that the compost toilets are very clean--I had no trouble with them. The rooms do not have wifi, but the beautiful common area does. Very nice layout--very artistic, spiritual and welcoming. Very open air room which I liked, but you should also be prepared for some bugs as it is very open. Loved the decor and the functional layout of my room. One tip if you are taking the bus to and from Cancun--try to avoid getting food at the seriously overpriced Cancun airport on your return trip. The downtown Cancun bus station is a much better value. For vegans--the Subway has sandwich and salad options that were a fraction of the price of what was offered at the airport.”
